Apologies for those that missed me this year. I've seen at least 3 knob manufacturers behind by more than a year. Meaning there are customers out there that paid 1+ year ago and still don't have their knob. This is criminal. Taking every order is too tempting, but "shit happens" and I'd rather not trash my name by over-committing.

Slow and steady for me, although it looks like others take the Kurgan (Highlander movie) approach. "It's better to burn out than to fade away!"

Kinda funny, I tend to listen to the music and pay absolutely 0 attention to lyrics for the most part. But both of those songs I've heard a million times and definitely should have made the connection. Maybe Kurgan being the most badass has something to do with crediting him, or just that I'm more a movie person. What is more interesting is Highlander is one of my favorite movie soundtracks, Queen nailed it. Quite the paradox.

Back then I was more of a Def Leppard fan, but now that I'm older Neil Young more suits me.

I've been silently machining Delrin/Copolymer and Ti knobs, but still waiting on the SS and Brass to get here. Can you believe these people are still blaming Covid for shipping delays? C'mon. I will post a progress picture on Monday.

Also, if anyone is interested here is something I made at work recently. Just in case anyone is curious as to what I do at my day job. This is pretty typical. Pretty sure one of these comes close to paying at least half of my salary. You think hospitals charge a lot, you should see what we charge a nuke plant. I usually only have to make a Qty of 1 for any job, sometimes 2 or 3 in rare cases.

Full album here, bunch of pictures.

I admit I have no idea what any of that was, but whatever you made looked gorgeous and the process is fascinating as hell. Thanks for the inside look!

    lmao, well done.

That's a recycled picture from last summer's batch, no worries. Not quite that far along yet, but there will be about that many copolymer knobs in today's picture update.

Progress as of now. The only material I have received (and made progress with) since closing orders is the titanium (pictured on the right here). I had this much Delrin/copolymer and brass on hand already, and the rest of the delrin material is due to arrive by Friday.

Still no word on the Stainless and brass, but they needed 10 business days initially. I will email for an update tomorrow as I think that is past due already.

The aluminum arrived today and is in the band saw!
