but they don’t. The collapsed length is too long to actually utilize all of the shock travel in the stock location and requires you to extend your bump stops. You are gaining down travel by sacrificing up travel. It’s more like 9.5-10” of actual travel at best, maybe a little less.

I’m not saying they are bad, I currently run them. It is a great option if you don’t want to do a relocate.

Does anyone think it’s worth it to box/gusset and run a tube between the stock hangers as a medium-term solution to beef them up? Got the steel, got a little time. Curious to see if it makes the ride a little smoother back there.

If you have the time. I'll tell you this. Take off the bed and remove gas tank plate as far froward as you can. If you can add some triangulation to that cross tube. So in reality time is going to be your biggest thing.

So I brought my Taco to a shop to get the rear axle bearings replaced due the thought I would need a press not thinking I would be able to get them off in my yard. Do you guys do your own and how have you been doing it . They have had it a week and this seems ridiculous to me

Yep nor limit straps. There's a .5 " rubber bumper that'll stop movement abruptly if you bottom out hard. Slow speed flexed out or extended puts little force on the shocks. Most of the issues you see are from guys that do the high speed shit across the whoops and bumps and such. I've hit the bumps and drooped them out hard only a few times. Going on 2 yrs no issues. No leaks, no change in handling, no bent shafts, no pulled lower eyes, and no separated body and shaft. I didn't put bumps on at first because I knew I needed to figure out where I was going to limit things also was debating on air or rubber. After lots of testing and messing around I'm swapping to 16" shocks and air bumps along with straps. If anyone were going to kill a set of shocks like that it would of been me..

Also I cycled my b110 completely with my old Deaver expedition springs.
