Didnt realize its supposed to be in the 50s next week. On one hand Im glad cause no snow but on the other, I was hoping to get to go snowboarding at least once this season cause I havent since being away.

 

better get on it!! I think the mountains still have another month to be honest. Night skiing gets cut first and I think theres still at least a few weeks if not more of that left.

Lost power next door at the business, que the alarm notifications waking me up... means the generator didn’t kick on like it should ....


Tree fell on the lines directly across the street. Supposed to be fixed by midnite.

 

Wind is still going crazy here. Power came back on around 11. It sure snowed but I think the wind blew it down the road a few miles, plow truck driving by literally as I type this...

Wondering with the wind today if Jiminy can operate the lifts. On one hand, the week off would be great (only work two days) on the other hand, its the end of the season and they need to make as much money as they can, so you want them to be open....

I Heard a big crash last night around 10pm. I ran outside and a branch fell on the wires outside the front of my house and the tree was blocking my street. I called National grid and the came out at 3am with chain saws. No loss of power but the wires were brought down with the tree branch. I called early enough so they cleared the street and even though it was from the house across the street and diagonal of my house, of course the threw all the cut wood on my front yard .....sigh. well at least we still have power for the kids online schooling.

 

No trees down here but the whole way in this morning you can tell where they cleared trees from the road overnight. Thought I was in a wind tunnel all night! Thanks to @crashngiggles for the spacers i finally got to put them on last weekend and they're perfect!

Pine unfortunately.......Not good for burning in a wood stove but good for burning in a firepit or bonfire.

 

Damn. Was gonna say if its good wood then I'd go pick it up from you haha

 

I know.....I was hoping that as well. I don't know if it is the towns responsibility to clean it up, the owners of the tree that the branch fell responsibility, or mine.....Anybody know this?

 

I think if theyre cleaning up tree stuff under normal circumstances its the tree removal companies if I'm not mistaken. Im not sure how storm damage works though
