I didn't think so based on his order above. but all the reinforcements wouldn't be that hard.

I bought spindle gussets from JD and will just trade my TC ones for someone’s stock ones. He mentioned in his thread that reaming out the spindle for steering becomes difficult after welding so I figured this is the easiest solution. Plus I can make a few bucks.

I know I was saying you have practice doing them already

That's what I did actually @Slashaar has my old spindles and I sent him a new set to weld up and ream for me. But he cut me a deal I couldn't refuse on doing the work.

He has like 300 colors of PC BTW no additional charge :D:boink:

Sure! I was going to ask for stock spindles plus $100 or $150 if I do the swap as well. I thought that was reasonable since the total chaos gusset alone is $80.

I was juuuuuust able to fish the new studs in without having to disassemble the rear brakes. All I had to do was take the drum off, obviously.

Custom order I assume? I like the idea of slip on spacer. What kind of specs did you need to know to order them? I imagine I will need spacers for my shock relocate. 3.5” BS with 295s currently. These might just be the ticket to clear the 2.5 12” smoothies.

Yeah, custom from bora. You just need to know your bolt pattern, hub diameter of the truck and hub diameter of your wheels. Mine are only custom because I needed a 108mm outer hub for these wheels. Either way you can order right from their website.

I picked up a second OEM CV yesterday so I can send in my cores for the 934 CV's from JD Fab. They just need the inner tulip which is easy to separate. The outer joint, however, is a different story. I just tried the pipe method and made zero progress. At least I have months to get this sorted out.

@EatSleepTacos I know you’re moving up to LT soon, but for your current set up... you carry a spare CV right? Oem? Napa? At 150k miles and more aggressive wheeling, it’s time for me to carry a spare I think.

I have Napa spare and on my truck as well. They’re decent axles for the price.

I almost pulled a @Subway4X4 today. I make it a habit to put clear glasses on whenever I’m doing anything in the garage. I was trying to shove this trim up into the corner with some dikes (which I was using to cut the trim) and the dikes slipped. Punched myself in the eye with the tip of the dikes, hard. I legitimately may have lost my eye without them. Phew doggy. This just happened earlier today.

These glasses are inexpensive so I recommend everyone have them on hand.

I think you missed your eye and cut your legs off. Looks like there's a set on the floor there.
