Truck was stuck in snow. Now it feels sluggish and horrible (Manual Transmission)

No. This is my first Manual 4X4.

 

I doubt warranty will cover. What am I looking at in pricing?

Or else what aftermarket OE kit should I look at if I wanted to do it myself?

 

Have you considered that you might still be stuck in the snow? I think you might still be stuck in the snow.

 

Before you go pricing things out you need to figure out what wrong. Dont just go by what people are saying. We may all think its your clutch, but we could be very wrong.

So, first things first, diagnose it. Second you can shop around online for the parts, then call a few shops for prices.
Last time I paid for a clutch was 15 years ago on a 1992 toyota pickup, it was about $1k then (with parts)
If you have the tools, you can do it your self, but this is not like changing the oil, you have to remove the transmission and transfer case.... you need a transmission jack or you might drop the transmission and cost even more money.

So yeah, get out in the truck and do some testing before jumping the gun.

 

You would be very lucky if your dealer covers it. How many miles you have?

Could be anywhere between 600-1200$ depending on labor and parts. Im not the best to ask regarding aftermarket clutches, maybe @su.brat might help out?

 

I mean OP shifted from 5th to 3rd and his RPMs dropped, what else could it be?

I have no doubt his clutch is fried.

But yeah he should definitely confirm before ordering parts.

 

You have a new 2020? truck and you did nothing wrong per normal operation and I know of no "must use 4H if stuck" listed in the owners manual. I'd bring it to the dealer and say it's running poorly and have them handle it ... or prove you deliberately caused it by not following the manual .. Keep us posted please?

 

There might be a chance yes. If they suspect the truck was offroad and abused in any way they will tell him to go pound sand, unfortunately. OP can give it a very good clean and try bringing it to the dealer.

oh hell no, gonna be north of $2000 for the clutch/install

 

as far as i know, currently there are no aftermarket options for the 3rd gen V6.

 

Sorry to sound like Im jumping ahead of myself. I am going to inspect it this weekend since I have to remove some of my mods lol

If they suspect that it is the clutch and not covered I probably will do the work myself since like you said i do have all the tools necessary

It will turn 16,000 soon.

I have only had to replace one clutch in my life on a used VW Scirocco I bought, driving home it was revving about 5 grand but only going maybe 25 MPH as it was slipping that badly!

Parking break on, put it in 5th or 6th, try to move forward, if it revs and you go no were clutch is done, if it trys to stall clutch is still grabbing and is probably alright
