That makes me feel better. I'm pulling the trigger tonight on 2" OME heavy load lift with 265/70r17 KO2s but I'm putting them on an 8" wheel 5mm offset, which sticks out .45" more than the semas for a little more stance. I'm hoping it will work out lol

It also sticks in more, being 1" wider. Def will be close at half turn on the front/back wheel well

What the tire off the rim? The backspace is less on the 8" than my stock 7"

If your wheels stick out .45" more than the 4R Sema AND they are 1" wider then they will stick in .55" more than the 4R Sema

Seems like a hassle just to fit the small of a tire on the Tacoma. I come from F150s we’re putting a 35 wasn’t this difficult. Seems easier just to stick with the stock rims

Agreed. Math and numbers is pretty hard for most F150 owners.

It's always easier to do nothing than it is to do something.

Yeah for sure. But my stock SR5 rims have a backspace of 5" vs the 8" wide is 4.7. it's gunna be something like this:

Exactly. The offroad shop that's going to be doing my upgrades was saying it's always difficult with Tacomas. Being a mid size truck and having smaller wheel wells it's been a hassle and I've been back and forth a hundred times on tire sizes/rims. I think it comes to a point where you have to pull the trigger on a combo you think will work the best and just deal with any minor issues you have as they come lol

There's slight rubbing when I'm all the way turned, I'm sure off-roading will lead to some more. It's not much and I don't think I need to get a CMC. I don't mind a CMC it's just something I don't want to pay for at the moment, I'll probably go ahead and get it done in a few months. Really liking the new stance and the wheels filling up the wheel wells. I'm parked on a slant so it looks like I have a bro lean but when it's flat there's still a bit of rake, I have a Dakar HD leaf pack and will probably remove one leaf. Bilstein 6112/5160 on the 6/5 notches and Camburg UCAs.

Looks awesome man. How much lift you have in the front and the rear? Stance looks great.

Thanks for posting! Waiting for my Ray 10s 16x8 -12 got lucky and got myself a set yesterday. Waiting for Dobinson lift also and getting tires tomorrow. Decided on the 265/75/r16 K02 cause it's a bit taller than the 275 in the 16-inch rim. Lifting the front 2.5 in but holding off on the back for now. Apprieciate your post truck looks bitchin'!

Falken to KO2 switch out today. Originally I had -10 offset with Falken 275/70/17 and it rubbed a fair amount with my current lift set up (icon stage 4 - not maxed out). I switched them out to 0 offset wheels with KO2 275/70/17. All rubbing is gone which is a big win for me.

I know people get offensive and defensive about these two tires. My primary focus was and is not rubbing. I was/am pretty neutral with them. Some feedback on having both on for anyone interested.

it’s a noticeable difference in height and width from these two tires in the same size. The Falkens are larger (taller and wider) and if clearance is a concern the KO2 in this size will be your better chance of clearing without rubbing.

I actually liked the look of the falkens with the -10 offset a lot. They Just didn’t clear.

The biggest win was the 4lbs I lost per wheel/tire combo (-2 from falken and -2 from new wheel) with this switch. I immediately felt a lot more power and smoothness on take off and driving. I wasn’t expecting this and I was actually expecting a rougher ride going from the Falken C to the KO2 E.

Just my 2 cents from driving Falkens yesterday and KO2’s today. (Keep in mind my offset on each was different).

For me I dont like the Falkens more than I enjoy not needing to trim up my new truck.

Great post. Happy to hear you got it all sorted out. Also really interesting to hear the take of someone that’s run both the Falkens and KO2s in this size.

I'm thinking about the same setup. I am debating between that or the 5100s. I'm afraid I won't get much lift with those though. How much is all of that running you?

It’s literally the same lift height...
