Lol seriously? I thought they did. Good thing I saved the old stuff. All the gaskets and lever are the same though, it’s only the needle that’s different.

 

Check to make sure the old tip is still..... tip shaped. Seriously.

Grab a magnifying glass if you have one and check the tip for any sort of Ridgeline


If it has one then it's no good and you'll need to order just the tip I'm afraid

I’ll have to look at it under the jewelers loupe tomorrow. It still was rubbery and pointy shaped so maybe it’ll work.

Who knows maybe the old diaphragms was why I wasn’t getting any fuel.

 

I've applied to basically every job in town that doesn't require me to use my personal vehicle. But my coworkers showed me a few positions that don't show up at the top of a google/Linkedin search. My applications outside of town are almost all usajobs.gov listings and from what I hear (and from personal experience) those applications could take months to be processed.

I think it's healthy to air dirty laundry.. and the anonymity of a random ass truck forum is perfect in my opinion. The one's who aren't superficial seem to be good people

Hold the old diaphragm up to a bright light and check for cracks or pin holes

 

Quite possible. Especially if it leaks lol. Still, would be nice to not have to deal with that f-ing upside down toyota design.

 

If imma do a remote oil filter (which I like the idea of) I would only do it with reusable oil filter. Plus not that close to the fuse box lol

 

Absolutely. The old diaphragms were stiff and the different layers were welded together. The new ones are soft and pliable.

 

Then slap that old needle in and give it a test fire. Or wait till tomorrow. If you can't feel a ridge with your finger then the chance of it leaking past is very low. Double checking if you see a ridge will tell you if it'll wear out sooner rather than later. Regardless it was still subject to the old nasty gas so it's smart to change it.

But my own personal experience says you're good for next season if you need it
