Might want to make sure the fuel pressure regulator on the driver side front fuel rail is still good. When the diaphragm in that fails, fuel will dump into the air filter box so that is away from potentially hot engine components. At least, that's how it works on the 1st gen Tacoma 3.4L engines. Figure it's probably similar on the 3.0 too.

Well I'm going to go back to this post and say you told me so. Just tired to start it up and I'm still puking fuel all the way down the intake. Going to have to pull the plenum back off and replace the fuel pressure regulator and the dampenner. I hope that is the remedy to this.

Most likely is one of those. The regulator has a diaphragm in it that will dry up if it's older and not exposed to fuel for a while, as in your case. Once it sees fuel pressure again, it will tear almost immediately. Toyota designed them so that when they fail, they dump fuel safely into the air box instead of all over the engine. They used that same design on the 1st gen Tacoma as well. Even on my 4th gen 4Runner I think. When I was doing the timing belt, intake swap and valve covers, I played it safe and replaced the regulator and damper while I was in there. No problems still!
