Putting in a construction entrance is the last part of a long and very expensive process.

 

We're getting snow again down here tomorrow and next week, finally.

Not at city level of course but in the mountains

What the heck is this that looks broken and poorly JBwelded under your truck?

 

About 3 years ago it snowed at just under 2k above sea level in Riverside. This was at my parents house.

 

Yeah last year there were a couple days where the towns in the foothills of Azusa (probably 1k - 1500 ft) got a couple inches of snow, too. Pretty rare to see snow below 3k this far south though

When I was living in Valencia when I was 2 yrs old, the whole city got snowed on with about a foot. I remember building a snowman with my dad in our backyard, that hasn't happened here since though. That was 1987/88

 

I would love to see it snow in down town LA, hopefully people would be smart enough not to drive.

 

Oh man that would be nuts, I wouldn't want to be anywhere near there if that happened lol. I don't think it ever would, DTLA is pretty close to sea level.

Valencia is at the bottom of the grapevine so it's at about 1300 ft, I think DTLA is at like 200ft

 

back in 08 it dumped over a foot in Palmdale and Lancaster. It shut the high desert down for almost a week.

 

yeah that's the only nice part about the high desert imo, they have actual winter weather. Doesn't make up for the brutal summers there though

even if the owner said it was totaled and to just move it out of the way, they could have done that so much better.

Pretty sure I know the exact spot he rolled it, there's a side trail off the main fire road that is pretty narrow and steep downhill, and super flexy. Like shoot your back end straight up in the air going downhill flex. He probably freaked out and tried hugging it and rolled.

edit - or went down it in 2wd or 4hi and lost control and rolled, who knows

Hopefully the Tacoma owner chooses a Ridgeline next time, doesn't seem to deserve a Tacoma letting it get treated like that.
