Love that area! The girlfriend and I are going back out to Utah in a couple weeks. Not to Moab this time, been there 2 years in a row. This time we are heading out to Capital Reef and Grand Escalante for about 3 weeks.

Great stuff to see in Capital Reef. We used to go there for Memorial Day weekend every year because the fresh asperagus was up in the orchard adjoining the campground... but they've turned the orchard into campground now. Most people don't trek north to I-70 as much as going south into Escalante. You just can't choose a bad direction to go.

have a blast!! I stayed at goose island campground 6/7 nights, which I highly recommend due to proximity to town, trails, river, and available cell signal.

The 4x4 trails in arches national park are no joke either. Getting up to tower arch was quite the treat

Yeah we stayed there last time we were out there Thats a nice campground and most people go north on the river and not south. Yeah we tried to drive out there with the stock taco and I got a little nervous and turned around about have way. I didn't have much clearance with how loaded up I was but we did make it threw the White rim road no problem. That is a spectacular drive!

Ordered the UptopOverland Bravo roof rack. I waited the full lead time (6-8 weeks) before emailing them about it. If anyone is interested, just FYI that you might have to wait longer to get yours. I do appreciate their quick response to my email. But I think that it would make their company better if they kept their customers up to date on the status of their orders if any delays happen.

Ok, here is the deal. I posted a thread back in November that these things were on a STOOPID sale at RealTruck:

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/bushwacker-flares-at-realtruck.696828/#post-24647827

My wife knows a painter that does custom work. He charged me $200 to paint all four (I painted the bolts though), but I had to drive to his paint supplier to pick up the paint....and they were about 30 miles away, so not too bad.

Researching the flares there were a lot of YouTubers complaining the tops of the front flares flap against the body. I have not encountered this at all and the top of the flares seem snug to the body.

You are correct, it is not fraudulent to spend the insurance money on other things, however it is fraudulent to file a clam that includes the damage that was paid for. ya don't get two bites of the apple. (I am not yelling insurance fraud, I say go for it)

Update on my rear view mirror dongle from Dongar, they are revising the product to connect the mic from the rear view mirror, I was wondering why they couldn’t hear me on my phone calls. Spoke to Kevin and he’s sending me a revised unit. So I would hold off on purchasing until he revises it. Also threw this one and gotta wait on the passenger side.

very nice that is next on the list, im with you on not going shiny. going to get the black hardware kit for it. i thought about getting them painted but i think im going to leave them black and add that extra contrast with the black and white theme i roll with.

Installed the RCI front skid. Still need to do the transmission skid (which I have to mod 'cause I drive a 4cyl) and the transfer case skid plate.

Fits perfectly even with my diff drop installed :D

Absolutely. I was about to bring this up but then I just....didn't.

There is some gray area there though. For instance, his 1" dent in his rear bumper cover. Say he gets rear ended again tomorrow, but much more damage, heaven forbid...you can't fix the new damage without fixing the old damage along with it. So the first repair money was essentially free money and he still gets it fixed.

I know I'm splitting hairs and I know it's now new damage, presumably caused by a different driver (what are the odds that the same person hits him twice lol), but I think in that case, fraud wouldn't be the word of the day.

Not arguing, just throwing out different scenarios

Just got this in the mail today. Going to put it on tomorrow. Has anyone had any issues with the Uni Filter mid?

I love my RCI skids. I have come down pretty hard on them on some rocks and they hardly have a scratch. They are very solid jack points as well.

I know what you mean. I held the skid in place with a transmission jack when installing it.

No issues at all. It’s cheap insurance. I would recommend popping it off every year or two to re-treat it with foam filter oil.
