Wife has been wanting a new shower for the past 2-3 years. Called those Reba.. and Bath Fit.. companies as well as a couple others advertising on the TV. For a days work on a 3'X4' shower was $10K. Just couldn't see it. Finally found a contractor that would do the shower and a new Vanity top for a little over $8,000. She wanted a new Vanity but that was going to add another $4,000 to the price. Couldn't see that either with a perfectly good Vanity there.
So I ordered new Shaker style drawer fronts and doors online. And bought a new 3 stage HVLP spray system. Bought soft close door hinges and new drawer and door hardware and went at it. All cost around $900.

    Original Vanity in Cherry.

Some of the homes in Queen Creek were built/ slapped up super fast in 2005 and 2006 before the housing bust and some of them were swallowed up by sink holes during monsoon seasons. I kid you not!

Gilbert is very nice and family friendly. I lived in Chandler in 2005/2006, but moved out of state before the market tanked in 2008. I wouldn't recommend Chandler at all. I moved back to AZ about 5 years ago to north Phoenix and once again property values have nearly doubled since I bought my house. I want to relocate to a nicer area like Scottsdale and build something or possibly out of state on some acreage or lakefront property, but land/home values are high everywhere now. Scottsdale prices are ridiculous.

As far as home feature recommendations a garage for all your vehicles is a must. Car theft is a problem in Phoenix especially, north Phoenix where I'm at. Also, a quality/newer AC unit and newer roof are things I'd definitely look at before buying. Utility bills are high, so a large house can be expensive to cool in the summer. AZ had the hottest summer on record last year. I think over 150 days of 110 or higher. It was brutal, but we survived! A pool helps.

I've completely remodeled my house top to bottom/ inside and out and it amazes me that homes with less upgrades/ cheaper materials can sell for pretty close to what mines worth.

Home repair companies/ trades people charge an arm and a leg in this state, so the more you can do yourself the more you will save. It's a sellers market, since there is a housing shortage and it's not uncommon to get 5-10 offers within the first few days of a listing. In my neighborhood homes sell in 1-3 days for well over asking. Overall, I love the desert and AZ, but it's changed so much in last few years and so much has been developed. It's also turned into a blue state, which surprised many long term AZ residents, so that may influence your decision to move here or stay.

Good Luck on your house search. Let me know if you want to know anything else about AZ and I might be able to answer your questions.

    Dryer vent fun today! Morpro!!

Mission accomplished topside is the most important thing. The duct run underneath is just too long and there is no practical fix, just keep it clean and minimize bends coming in. To make things worse, some builder clown or later add clown put the natural gas inlet behind dryer - right and I mean right center line of dryer vent behind. And the vent down pipe to underhouse nether regions is in corner of room to the left. FAK. Me and the previous old ass just did flex pipe connected then get your fat posterior extricated from behind dryer and push the whole mess in place.

So TW to the rescue. Bought me one 90° Magvent and one SnapToVent. These two pups worked very nicely together. Way way more pro.

Question. I have an older Goodman Gas Heater and sounds like the main blower motor is on it's last legs. Should I pay someone to replace or is it a pretty simple job? Where would I find parts?

Not familiar with that unit, but if you're talking about the force air squirrel cage, that's usually a very simple job. When I would take the one out of my furnace at home, it was two screws, unplug the power for the fan and done; literally <2 minutes. Pull the cover off and have a look, it should be very obvious. If you're unsure, post an image or two; likely someone can help.

I'm not sure if it's the big fan in the bottom of the unit or the one right above the heat tubes. So the sound it puts off is a squeaky bearing while throughout the house you can hear the fan kicking on/off repeatedly through the heat cycle. I checked and cleaned the flame sensors with no change.

Not sure what model it is, but the brand is Goodman. Trying to find a picture that's close to it.
Pardon the low quality image, but that's pretty close to mine. The bearing on that particular blower is the one that squeaks. That black 'cap' isn't on my model so the bearing is exposed and you can see the axle spinning when it kicks on. A quick google says its the draft inducer? I don't think it's the one going out though since it wouldn't be the one pushing the air. I have pictures on my phone but I'm at work atm.

Here's the closest image I could find to the draft inducer on my model.

You might not find that exact model blower fan since vendors like to swap things up and it being old. But a quick google looks like there are other units that will attach no problem. Just google the part number and go from there.

Your model looks to be pretty simple to repair if you want to go that route as well. At least when it comes to the bearings. The one you see looks to be just pressed in that housing that is bolted on but the other would require removing the plastic fan. Might be a route to look at going if you dont want to spend a ton of money and are willing to spend an hour or two (or less). If you arent good at selecting bearings and have an industrial supply place (grainger?) they can help you get what you need if you just take it to them

If I am not mistaken that complete unit is still made today but I would need to the model and serial number of the unit to have my vendor cross reference the part. I think they sourced a new vendor in 2010/12 and has a new M#...

Current fan model # assembly shows about 30 variants of assemblies....
