Gotta wait for the parts unfortunately. Still sounds like he wants to sell it to me from our text last night. We'll have to see. His main reason for selling it is lack of motivation/time for putting it back together. Since I put the pump on and realized the missing parts I had him order the required parts to hopefully get it leak free. Hoping this doesn't make him change his mind.

That would really suck. Those are the perfect winter beaters. And the manuals don't pop up all that often

Anyone here done an add-a-leaf to rear leaf pack? Mine have settled and truck's level, which is okay for daily driving. Would like it raised 1" or so, so when I load up for hunting, fishing, camping, etc. trips, it sits level.

Yes and no. It's alot rougher than I remember. I was gently poking around what I thought was surface rust and my damn finger went through o_O I can get all the mechanicals and digicals dialed in no issue, the body, ehh. They don't make a patch panel for where it's rusted through so I gotta make one by hand. The hood needs repainted as the clearcoat failed, so I would have to blend in the fenders. I gotta get paint for the rust repair anyways, so this could go on full paint job. The wheels are also coming off so I can repaint them. All outside door trim is coming off to repaint as well. Why would I do this on a $500 beater, in my best Derek voice "I don't know..." I would say I need a hobby, but this is my hobby  If I do wind up with this thing, I'll definitely do a progress thread even though it's not a Tacoma.

Unfortunately PA inspection begs to differ. Gotta temporarily duct tape it and "tssst, tssst" some paint over it and run-er through Uncle Brother's Sticker Slap Service.

I really do eventually plan on doing in right when it warms up, but in the mean-time a guy's gotta do what a guy's gotta do. I'm gonna probably take it to a guy that is a one man band outta home garage type. Gonna have him go over it as well, but if it doesn't pass you gotta pay the $35 either way. Cheap enough though.

I'd like to take credit for that one. But that's a Derek'ism from Vice Grip Garage
