Smart move, the return policy is where a lot of new mattress owners get hosed... my coworker bought one of those dial a number softness bed and got screwed trying to return it.

Are you a heavy sleeper? Do you like memory foam? Last year I bought myself a very nice serta mattress that they call a hybrid. It's memory foam but also has a center section of coil springs for extra support.. it was more money than I ever wanted to spend on a new bed but I have no complaints so far

The whole industry is geared to be as confusing as possible. Total racket.

I used https://www.sleeplikethedead.com/ to get my bearings and ended up on mint something or another. Sleep fine, no pain, and it was on sale.

I've made friends with lawn and tree care people from my time in the biz and it's a solid 50% of fleabay and scamazon purchases they do (with zama and/or walbro carbs) are counterfeit.

I do trust the fleabay ones where there's an actual picture of the box and you can tell it's been sitting on someone's parts shelf for a long time:rofl:

State inspection fee is $22 here.
If your ride is right takes 10 to 20 minutes.

So do you carry hunks of tire with you or are those buried in the ground?

I'd carry hunks of tire with me for traction... that seems like a genius hillbilly solution

Yeah smog checks are about $40 here I think, once every 2 years. I'm in and out in 15 min usually if there's no line.

The CARB thing though where aftermarket parts need to be CARB certified is a total money grab...any company can get the CARB cert if they pay the state an exorbitant fee for it, doesn't matter how good or bad for the environment their product is. Its just about who can pay the fee and who can't

Case in point, the 3.4l TRD supercharger was CARB certified and legal to run in CA, but the identical Magnuson version without the TRD badge was not legal (until a few years ago when they finally got the CARB cert). Same exact supercharger, but only one of them was OK according to CA.

TRD ponied up for the cert while Magnuson didn't, at least not until a few years ago.
