TRD Exhaust, Mobtown bolt on sliders and aluminum tailgate reinforcement, Reverse lights changed to yellow turn signals, LED pods added for reverse, ADD W1 oil catch can, Total Chaos bed reinforcement, rear diff breather to taillight mod, 12" combo led bars behind lower grill wired to high beams, Toyota led bed light kit, 400 watt anytime mod, SSO slimeline front bumper.
One of the main reasons i went with the Trd skid plate is it has an access panel to make changing the oil filter easier. Also it's aluminum so not super heavy.

    Work in progress...
I, recently, found out that the TRD Sport skid plate is way better than it looks...

Just picked up my 2018 OEM TRD aluminum skid plate . I’m way impressed with it . Much nicer than what I ever expected . For what I was looking for , it was well worth the money .

RCI aluminum skids. I have full set and their sliders. Easy install. Take a beating. Easy oil filter and drain plugs access. My opinion one of my best investments. every now and then the do a 15% off sale.

0F15940F-A3E0-4BF8-86B3-3E1C3D7D0401.jpg Here it is on my 2018 Sport. All the bolts were captured to the plate with the spacers . Took about 6 minutes to install. The 4 forward mounting bolts do not use the same mounting holes as the factory “ splash guard “ use .
Even came with the plastic red lettering
inlay. That’s a chunk of metal hanging there . Glad I put it on .

In photos I always assumed those letters were stamped into the metal. Does it seem like the letters could be removed without damage if someone wanted to paint them separate from the skid?

Yes, you can. May need to buy new double sided adhesive for them to make sure they stick well.
I painted my skid plate black and then knocked those letters off from the back side using a screw driver. Then I went on tufskinz and bought cement gray to match my truck. But im guessing if you remove them careful you could probably reattach them.

It's nitpicky, but are Tufskinz the same general thickness/bezel as the OEM lettering? Wouldn't mind saving the hassle of being careful with removal.

they actually seem a hair wider. and are about the same thickness. The difference between the 2 is the originals have posts on the back with tabs that help keep them in the skid plate. Where the tufskinz do not. I think with a really good adhesive they will stay on but I dont plan on doing much off roading.
