AR-15 BS Thread

Finally home so I can start installing some of the parts that showed up over the last 2 months.
First up is a transformation of this PSA rifle into a viable “bump in the night” rifle for my sister, new handguard, stock, light, sling, and red dot.
I just need to make a ranger band or buy a neomag sling keeper to keep the sling tidy.

 

Whoa wait this has been discussed as a German Shepherd could have a new home after the move.....He will have to be trained to look the other way when I come home and not snitch

Yeah we are leaning in that direction since my Grandfather worked on the Gemini/Apollo/Saturn/Shuttle Space program from 1950-1990

I can't tell you how many times I've considered a GSD. I'm a Doberman man at heart though. I love GSD's though. Trained / watched one for a few months for a friend while she was on vacation. She picked on on everything my Doberman Fletcher did and that's why I love service dogs.

 

I got my GSD because I couldn’t find a doby. A friend of mine used to breed Dobermans but no longer did when I wanted one. Chase is a great dog, so no regrets.

 

Anyone has experience with silver solder to “permanently “ attached a flash hider? I just hate the idea of a welded pin but I want to complete my M4gery and the 16” barrel just looks goofy with the carbine/F2 sight

They are hard to find and expensive if you find a good breeder. Your picture makes me want to search out a GSD brother for her.

 

Anyone using a Bear Creek Arsenal side charging upper? Any issues with fitment or performance?

 

They look awesome but have not used them

 

Ive heard they are lower end?

 

I think Gibbz was one of the better ones out there that I have seen

 

They could be I just always bust my knuckles on the side charging ones....

 

I don’t like that they recommend Tapco Magazines and Point Boat Tail 75 gr. Or Nosler Match Grade 69 gr ammo
