Reputable LED company?

Anyone have a recommendation for a reputable led supplier?There are a lot of junk led suppliers in the market and I’m wondering where you guys source yours from. Looking to update interior lights and license plate lights. Truck looks odd from behind with the led third break light but license plate lights are yellow halogens.

any kit recommendations?

 

Nope. Don't think there are any. Certainly not worth a forum search or reading the forum "rules", if you can call them that.

I have had great experience with VLEDs. I don’t have much experience with Diode Dynamics for the small stuff, but everything else I’ve ever bought from them is really nice.

 

Oh, and the “search” function here sucks. Sometimes you’re better googling it and looking for TW links in the results.

I’ve also found that if you select the box that says something like “search titles only” it’s worth checking those first. In all honesty, anything you could ask about someone else has started a thread about. Just use general verbiage when searching.

To your question, I just got some cheapies from Amazon and they worked fine. I ended up replacing my map lights and dome light with MESO ones, but had the cheap ones in there originally and they did fine.

May be worth disconnecting your negative cable while installing them. Some people have blown fuses and some other part (don’t remember the name of it). I didn’t have that issue, but there’s posts about it.

I bought some cheap kit off Amazon or ebay to replace all my interior lights as well as my licence plate lights; been 5+ years with no issues so far.

As for the search function, you can add "site:tacomaworld.com" to the end in google and it'll isolate to only searching off this website. Definitely helps narrow it down, I was looking into building a platform and kept getting results for pinterest boards! Who makes a pinterest collection of tacoma mods?!

EDIT: meant to add photos for a different LED lighting thread, but if it's still up it also applies here, bought cheap ebay stuff and hooked it up myself, no issues except I replaced the switch from a push button to the current SPST one.

 

While I don't have any of Meso's lights other than the mirror turn signals, I can vouch for his products based on quality alone.

I have seen their products during web searches. Always seem to be sold out. Sound like it!

 

Diode Dynamics. I’ve been using there products for many years and have never had any issues with there stuff. A little more than others, but IMO worth it for quality product.

 

I’ll take a look at them. Narrowed decisions down to vled, DD, and meso. Thanks for everyone’s help!

 

Diode dynamics, I’ve got interior and exterior led lights from them. Quality. Never one issue. I went from meso interior lights to diode dynamics because my meso lights where falling apart. Use Hotshot Offroad. He is a member here and has top notch customer service. Don’t be afraid to reach out to him he will set you up correctly.

Yep no issues and would buy again. Their customer service is great if you ever need it. Very helpful and responsive.

i had a bulb for the dome light that didn’t fit and they sent a replacement out I had the next day.
