    I’m new here so I apologize if this is posted in the wrong section. I was washing my truck today and I hopped on the DiamondBack to spray it down and noticed that the crossbar on my Voodoo rack is cracking from one end to the other. I haven’t mount anything to the rack yet. All the other bars are perfectly fine. Thoughts?

    Is the actual material cracking, or is it just the paint?

    @KB Voodoo
    I've read and seen excessive rusting on kbvoodoo products. My rack has minimal rust thankfully. check to make sure it's not just the powder coating.

    My rack has been rust free so I’m pretty thankful. My CaliRaised sliders on the other hand has some rust after I took it to the snow. I washed my truck right after, too.

    I received a PM from Voodoo and he said it’s normal stretching from forming the aluminum and it shouldn’t do any harm.

    Well that was a lie, that's a tear not a "stretch". Sheet metal should not tear like that when bent correctly.

    It looks pretty bad. It’s one long crack from one end to the other. Kind of worried about putting my RTT on now. I recorded a video but it’s too large to post because it’s in 4K. I’ll try to compress the file tomorrow and post it.

    Get a new rack or your money back, imo.

    I think a new rack is a little excessive. A new crossbar will be fine with me. Still want the guy to make a living.

    It's your money, kb voodoo lost vendor status here a while ago for customer service and quality issues. Not sure if that was ever resolved.
