Anyone know of tire shops in the area that will mount/balance new tires (for my wife's car) that have already been purchased and would be brought to the shop?

 

Most of them? I've never had someone say no unless the tires were used. I do it that way all the time.

 

There us more truth in that than you know. $3-5k is average, and that sometimes comes with carrying drugs across. And yet, we don't have a problem there.

 

First few I've contacted only mount/balance if you purchase the tires from them.

 

I got a set of lightly,lightly used tires mounted at Walmart, although it was in SWVA. I didn't mention they were used, and they didn't ask. Firestone I did mention they were used, and they said they would only do new tires but didn't have to be purchase through them. Sounds sketch to have Walmart do work on your car, but they didn't booger up the rims and the balance was spot on. With walmart, I'm sure there is high variations in quality between locations

 

That’s dumb. I know it’s a hike from you but radial tire, our fave alignment place, had done it for me a few times with no questions.

 

Try Convenience Car Care. They're close to you on the Manassas end of 28, close to Yorkshire.

 

Yeah just some corporate policy to try to force you to buy tires from them. I might check Radial out if I can't find a closer place.

 

I have had a Mr. Tire do it in Alexandria. Thats crazy. I have never had that issue. Piedmont def will do it. Locations in Haymarket and Gainsville

Prince William county doesn't have an issue so you can go anywhere there. I had a new set installed in Fairfax, but they did it because it was delivered from tirerack.
