Probably better planning. Would have been lighter and likely an LT set up from the get-go. Currently do the same maintenance with almost as much work with MT then with LT. Not exact but very similar.

What I used to get with my 4.0 Ranger and a main reason for the I4 now. Never less than 400 and typically 420-450.

This fight goes on in the general aviation community too. Steam gauges vs glass panels. But at least the new avionics still give you all the data you need.

I agree. Give us all the info we want on our dashboards.

2.8L Cummins Turbo diesel would be my change.

But I'll wait for the $25k Tesla, and use the truck for offRoad and bad winters. Leaving the truck stock.

Yes, 8' bed since, there are many like us, who would like to leave the cargo trailer at home and do not need a people hauler. Just give me a enough room behind the 60/40 seat for hunting gear or tool box (remember the Xtra-cab).

Imagine instead of an ALT or AI you have a check flaps light that comes on. While we’re at it we’ll install automatic stall correction and not tell anyone and sync it to a failure prone AI sensor.

Something that would be very helpful is on each side of the firewall to have a hole with a boot for running additional wiring from engine into the cab. (Without having to create my own.)

Dump the auto door lock feature. Not that I don’t get why it’s there, but it’s incredibly annoying that they lock when you exit the vehicle with the engine running. On cold morning when I turn on the truck I can’t even get around to the passenger side rear door to help my kid get in before they lock again

Blackout package - planned: black bed logos, black wheel vinyls, front seat window tint, tires.
Every car I've purchased, including my wife's cars, has had a power sunroof and not a single one has ever leaked.

There are a few things I would change in my '18, but I'm getting several of those in my '21 (homelink, power seats, Apple carplay, etc.). I would however, change the plastic material used in the interior, especially on the door panels...scuffs up WAY too easily.

He said one wish bro. This thread held together because "one wish" does not change the Tacoma too much from the one offered today. When you list 5-10 things, it quickly goes from being a Tacoma to being a Tundra or a Jeep.

Nothing, I love my truck, I try not to spend too much time living in lala land for things that will never happen.

But, if my black paint never showed scratches and never looked dirty that would be great. Guess I'll go detail it again for the 3rd time this week :pout:

    5. Remote start that doesn't shut off when you open the door. x 2

Also, the premium leather seats lack enough 'cushion' for longer trips

The seats. That includes the positioning and the comfort. I'm guessing the new power seats mostly address the former, but the seats still need to be made much more comfortable.

The seating/driving position of the 3rd gen has always been the most complained about issue. I'll never understand how Toyota had people sitting in the truck during development and thought it was good. lol

This is another good one. These are large vehicles and yet somehow the interior feels like a sub-compact. lol
