Are you planning to use the factory relay ?? then you just need to energize the coil low amps is all you need

Or are you trying to cobble a wiring harness together from scratch ??If so what ever amp citrcuit protection your switch should handle the same current .

I would check the manufactures website they will have the numbers you need to know.

I'm getting gears and a front locker from East Coast Gear Supply, and was looking at alternate switches, but am not sure of the correct Amperage. I looked but can't seem to find it. I'm thinking a 10 amp, but not 100%. Hoping someone on here might know. Thanks.

The locker only requires about 3 amps. That's what I found on Mud from the Landcruiser guys.

The 3 amps is if your using the factory relay!!

If your not you have to size the switch to handle the demands of the locker itself.

Actually that is nice, I could only find big ass ugly toggles. My diffs are being built now so haven't received them yet, but was looking ahead. Thanks, that actually is clean and will look nice up by the rear locker switch. Clean looking truck.

I hope you don't plan on turning when locked in the front, regardless if its harrop, tjm, arb with IFS.

You shouldn't really be turning sharp with a locker on unless you REALLY need to like you're trying to correct a line or something. Not something I would generally do in normal circumstances

No, but sometimes the trail/line veers slightly and was curious if say 10-15 degrees slow and controlled was doable or not.

yeah, that's fine, if you're off pavement and for some reason you absolutely need your front locker at the time.. but in my situation I never turn on my front locker until I actually need it.

Generally speaking, if you're front and rear lockers are engaged, then you're only going the direction you're pointed. Especially in open snow/mud. If you're in mud/snow ruts then you'll go wherever those are headed anyway. You can use full steering when crawling over stuff or trying to adjust your line. Sometimes, you can unlock the rear and use the front wheels to drag the nose over where you want it. Kinda like a front dig. Like others have said, you're generally gonna use it when or just before you're screwed.
