Not trying to be argumentative but between the the skid and heat shield where my pipe used to go is 2.5" and my reroute pipe is 2.25". I'd think his way the pipe is smaller or flatter or maybe both. Not that it would really matter on these... not like they need big flowing exhausts.

I need to get this done but live in Southern California, any one know of a shop that has done this in So. Cal? If not, seems like any experienced muffler shop should be able to do if I show pics that @johntoyota posted on earlier posts.

Redneck and mullets dont bother me either... I am only fairly recently in CA. I'm from OH and spent most my time in TN.

So you have seen the light, now why are you in the dark dark state of CA?

Internal job transfer... I had never really been much of anywhere besides between OH and TN. Big adventure! No one could believe I did it. You can be assured I will be back!

Not necessarily saying I should have, just saying it would be easier sometimes. Last time I had the skid plate off though I just put it on the ground and beat it with an 8lb persuasion hammer and it has been fine since. One sure it will happen again

Is the downside to running it from behind that it's close to the actuator? I figured some exhaust heat wrap would fix that

Down side would be pulling the transfer case and heat near the tcase computer. Plenty have gone behind and it’s fine. If I do have to redo it, I will go behind.

I might go under just because I can't really see myself beating up steel skids that hard. And if I do, I'll just massage them like you did. It sounds like he ran a smaller diameter pipe? I doubt it but do you think that's any concern?

Who ran a smaller diameter pipe? I wouldn’t mess with diameters. They just tick it up tighter. Stock there is probably an inch and a half clearance.

Comment #83 gave me the impression that he ran a smaller pipe to tuck it up in there and that's how he's able to do the reroute from underneath
