Having a couple of winches in the group can't hurt. But front+rear recovery points should suffice.

I take it back, bring all the winches.

Lol. Might not help if I don't have recovery points. Gotta work on that before I head out. I'll watch the weather too. Hope to make it out there!

On the calendar! Maybe I will have NY plates by then and can be super cool like y'all.
I Should have a run of front 1/2 inch steel recovery points done by then, if people are interested, prices pending but I'm making driver and passenger side versions. Also making skids for a few guys, if anyone wants those for the event let me know. IFS only right now, both DIY kits and fully fab'd.

For the back, these things are cheap+easy, assuming you have a receiver: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B06WLMF23C/

The front is a bit trickier. There's a factory point on the passenger side that's a bit questionable for hard pulls. You can replace it with something a bit beefier for $100 +/-. (Or whatever @JDUB-Fabrication is asking for his.)

I'm broke and cheap, so I just stick a hitch pin through the strap. Probably not ideal, but it's been working well for me

This works pretty well for straight-ish pulls, but I wouldn't do this on any angle where the strap can rub the edges of the receiver. That's where the block is handy cuz you can attach a shackle vertically and keep everything lined up nice.

Also I'm in for the 17th

Anyone considering camping for this weekend I highly recommend Bowman lake state park.
Nice campgrounds with bathrooms and stuff.
    Great hiking trails.
    Although haunted...

We love to camp but not super familiar with the area around the park. Any primitive type camping In the area? DEC land? Not a big fan of populated campsites.

yes, there are lots of primitive opportunities I’m familiar with from about 20-25 minutes south of Syracuse all the way down to marathon along and off of 81.
Labrador hollow wildlife area is probably my favorite, ponds, hiking trails, dec roads, not a lot of people. No concrete slabs, bathrooms, etc. (actual camping)

eta: lots of hikers and bikers, very few campers.
