Fitting 35’s with minimal trimming NOW ADDING LONG TRAVEL AND 934 CV’s

Stock length shock lengths are vastly different than LT lengths.

 

We were talking about stock replacement ADS just adds length to the shock with no extra travel. Not LT versions so this would be mid travel.

 

With the cab mount relocate and all the fender well work what size tire are you running? Did you do the CV upgrade? I’ve been waiting to see a 3rd gen.

 

He has 35x12.5 and yes I put 934’s in the truck

 

Lets see more of what every bodies rear setups are for the 4", 2.25" and stock length fronts.

 

I’m running archive sua with the HD pack and 14in kings. I think I’m running 1.25 spacers on 3.5BS wheels. I’ll definitely be switching to the JD sua to pair with the +4 when I finish it.

This style and/or the Ruffstuff link kit is dangerously appealing. SUA can't quite carry my shit, and I don't need all the travel of a 16" C/O mondo linked setup...Also I love that your bed is still sealed up.

 

Me, trying to separate my axle with a brass hammer and realizing I should have just paid Harry to deal with this from the beginning.

Dude, I was going at it HARD. And for like 15 minutes too. That’s when I resorted to cutting it apart.

 

You’re one of the “lucky ones” like I was. Took me three hours to separate my inner tulip.

 

I’m going to plasma cut it in half tomorrow out of spite. Then send Harry some complete axles to separate and assemble for me.

Just cut it as close to the star as you can do you can rotate the cv around and separate it. Once disassembled, pop the star with little bit of a shaft left in a press and pop it out. This is how I’ve done my past two broken shafts. Never able to separate another way

 

I already have it all separated like that, but in the process, I knicked various parts of the joint with my angle grinder. By the time I pay a shop to press it out, buy boots and grease for the outer joint, etc, I may as well just pay harry to do it.

 

Oof yeah you got to be careful with that method.

 

On the plus side, now I have a second outer stub if I ever need to drive around with no front diff.
