It looks like 2 circlips per shock. Not too difficult. Hopefully can be done with a C-clamp, and not removed fully and done on a vise?

When I did mine the shocks were already uninstalled but I think a c clamp could work if you just want to swap out the lowers in the future. Once you remove the snap rings, wipe any debris out, and spray some wd40 to help them slide out it doesn't take much force. Might have to try that myself in the future just out of curiosity.

definitely possible and should do the trick, also try and order the rod ends from someone else besides king as they tend to overprice their parts. FK rod ends are same same and you can find them for a fraction of the price. Your rod end bearing part numbers should be FKS10T and should be about $12 each.

The bent section is for the exhaust crossover on the V6. They could've made one large rectangular piece of metal that covers the transmission and transfer case with no bends in it. The only bends needed are at the sides to add strength, like they did to the transmission skid.
I'll be adding a "review" of the transfer case skid later today (or tomorrow).

C-clamp, socket and a bolt as the driver. I also plan to replace the c-clip whenever I remove one, either because it's not re-usable or because it's lost in a corner after removal.

Wait so there’s no button to lock 4h like in 4runners and stuff? I’ve never actually gotten first hand experience with a manual fj to know the system. I always assumed it was a similar system to the land cruisers with a button for 4x4 lock and a lever for high/low

Not that i'm aware of. After looking at the FSM it looks like everything is manually shifted.

Someone in my family has a M/T FJC and i have never seen a diff lock for the t-case in it, only for the rear diff.

Can't give a solid recommendation yet as I haven't installed mine, but I ordered the APEMAN C450. CNET did a 2021 review and it scored well as a low cost dash cam option. From my personal research it seems like everyone likes it.

I see you have a seatbelt cheater.
Here's an easier way to disable the seatbelt chime.

    1) Turn the Car 'ON', but do not start the engine (Leave your foot off the brake). Cycle your trip reset knob until it reads ODO. Turn the ignition back off. Wait a couple of seconds.
    2) Make sure seat belt is not fastened
    3) Turn the ignition back on, do not start the car (Leave you foot off the break) As soon as you see everything light up, press and hold the trip reset knob and do a long 12 second count.
    4) Keep your finger on the trip reset knob. Fasten your seat belt, as soon as you fasten your seat belt, you should see the ODO display go from XXXX miles to "b-on". At that time take your finger off the trip reset knob and press it again. It should cycle to "b-off". You should be all set and turn the ignition off and unfasten your seat belt.

If you disconnect the battery, the setting resets but it's really easy. I do it all the time.

I only ran my fridge and Jackery once last year (Got them at the end of the season) But I put my Iceco fridge in my back seat and jackery on the floor and ran the 12v cable for the jackery to my front socket so it charges when I have the truck on. I don't think my Jackery 500 ever dropped down below 90% the whole 5 days we were out there. We did do a lot of driving but still sitting over 12 hours overnight it didn't dip much.
Side note. Anyone with a Jackery have issues with it shutting the 12v off after so long? Twice on that trip I woke up to the Jackery and fridge off. It was a cold week so it didn't make a difference or it was only off for a short amount of time but anyone else have this happen? I was guessing it was from the fridge just not drawing enough power to keep it on.

jumped the plug on the relay to a power source. Used a spade connector and snipped off one of the prongs to make it fit. 58B9F1BD-D658-4A39-8FD4-714943CCD059.jpg
