The only thing with a tank, is ensure you can drain it.

I have had problems with water in my lines.

Take the compressor off its base and bolt it directly to the plywood, so you avoid the battery tie-down thingy. :) What's the solenoid for?

I never thought about those things but good ideas, thanks
The Solenoid is will be hooked up to power on one end, to the compressor on the other and the compressor unloader switch will provide signal to energize the solenoid. The compressor is mounted to a plate with little rubber feet. I just wanted to keep all that stock for now in case something goes wrong I can use it as designed with the original hose and clamps.

So it's a solenoid valve that closes the air line between the compressor and tank? Nice.

I really like machined alloy stuff, ordered the battery tie down from @Coupe and it's very lovely , USPS/Canada Post was way faster now, took me almost 2 months to have my parts come in back in November, this only took 2 weeks.

no its an electrical solenoid that disconnects power from compressor. basically picture buying on of those little air compressors and replacing the compressor part with "our" type of 12v air compressor everyone runs and leaving everything else stock. I'll let you guys know if it works or not...:fingerscrossed:

In that case you'll probably want a check valve between the compressor and the tank, because the compressor may not be able to hold against tank pressure for a few hours when not running. But that could always be added later.

so you're running a solenoid like a relay to just feed power to the compressor?

    Yes.
The idea is.... open the truck cap. Hook up your hose and have a switch that will turn it on.
    That's the idea anyway.

This weeks adventures tending waterfowl nesting structures.

It has been a tricky year with too much snow and slush making the ice difficult to work on without getting stuck. The recent thaw has improved conditions and I just need two or three more cold nights to finish this project.

A blown intake boot didn’t help this week but I got a new one on this afternoon. Yesterday the air intake clamp before the carburetor broke but a 14 inch 120 pound cable tie got us out of the bush!!

Ok TuRD gen brethren..... Today I kissed a light standard with the front bumper of my '19 Taco (long embarrassing story). Anyone with a white front bumper they have removed to put a steely on want to sell the original? I'll also be needing a grille, as I managed to fvck that up too...:anonymous:

I'll post up a pic or 2 tomorrow. Busy drowning my sorrows tonight.

PS, I do see this as an opportunity to put my own steel bumper on. That was plan B (silver lining).

Is the damaged bumper cover still intact in the area below the headlights? Most steel bumpers require those pieces.

What is that? Why would he not rerig his lines and flip it back on its wheels. That's some serious damage done by dragging dead weight.

The silver lining is a good idea. I feel your pain but you just have to dust yourself off and move on.

I’m just worried that your better half may not let you drive this hot-rod Tundra anymore!
