I got to get rid of the mud grips. I'm on the road too much.

I ran BF K02s before and hated them on road off road etc. they were loud on road and slippery in the rain. I switched to falken wildpeaks the AT3w. Love them my truck sees a decent amount of mud rain and sand and they’ve never let me down once. They wear nice and they aren’t very loud on road at all. Listen to the hum of M/T is fun for a little bit but not everyday driving. I am on my second set already picked them up on Amazon for 769$ shipped and I live in HI so shipping is usually in the hundreds.

I put Hankook Dynapro ATM's on my truck shortly after I bought it in 2017 (with 35K miles on), rotating with them every oil change, I put almost 45K on them before I got Goodyear Wrangler Authority's (10 ply). I could've easily went another 10K on the Hankook's but winter was approaching & I wanted to be prepared for snow (and I'm glad I did!). I have about 18K on the GY's and they look brand new & still ride great... but they definitely let you know when its time to rotate them.

If you still drive in mud from time to time maybe consider a hybrid tire. It's a combo of at and mt.

    Examples would be:
    Cooper st maxx
    Mickey Thompson atzp3
    Nitto Ridge Grappler

I have duratracs great tire nice looking side profile to .awesome in the snow . But there getting louder I didn’t mind them at first but I think im going to switch to the coopers depending on the weight the duratracs are lighter than most

I keep hearing good things about the Wildpeaks. A friend at work has the Goodyear Wrangler Duratrac (with kevlar, mud pattern)
He liked them when they were new and are great off-road but he says they are very noisy after having them for a while and you have to rotate them more than any other tire.

He is going to the Wildpeaks also. He drives a lifted 4Runner.

I haven't seen the Duratrac with kevlar. Curious if it's a new tire!

@Mtucker1972 I have been running the Goodyear Durtracs for quite some time. Like others have said, they do get louder with age but not bad. They have been an amazing tire for just about everything on and offroad. My biggest concern was snow and they do very well in the snow! The only downside I see is weight. I would highly recommend you consider that into your potential tire choice. If it were primarily for looks and on road performance with decent offroad capability I would look into Falken like many have suggested. They have great on road charicteristics, wear well, quiet (depending on the tread of course) and are generally light weight as well. Stick with P or C rated tires as well, they will ride better and far lighter than a load E/10ply.

    Here is mine with Duratracs.

I'm not sure, I've never cut my finger on a tire before. Unless it had exposed belt, but that's a different story. :anonymous:

I rode with Duratracs for 5 years and that was biggest complaint was they were LOUD, im on the Falkens now and they have been great. i have been in the mountains every second weekend over the winter and no issues.

I guess it depends what you're looking for. Not sure if you are running over size tires or not. If not, I recommend the Cooper Discoverer AT3 4S. It's just aggressive looking enough, in my opinion, but not too aggressive.

If you are running over-size tires, I'll recommend the Cooper Discoverer XLT shown above. Basically the same tire as the 4S, but bigger with fewer sipes and larger side lugs. It's meant for heavier duty trucks.

Prior to my current setup (Yokohama Geolander G003) I exclusively ran BFG K02’s. I never had the issues the first commenter stated, but given that they were load E tires I also ran pretty low pressure. My last set lasted around 40k miles, which is pretty good for the roads we have here.
