    Got out for a scoot!

230 miles so far for 2021, between both the Ninja and CBR.

That is rad, I would like to, but unfortunately that is too far out to know with the schedule my wife and I keep, but I'm going to talk to her tonight about it. Haha

I’m always curious when I see listings like that. My only thought is that someone bought it and quickly discovered that they don’t like riding motorcycles.

There is a 2020 Ninja 400 for sale in my area that has only 600 miles on it, and the seller is asking near retail for it. If you look closely at the pictures, you can tell the bike went down and took a slide on the right side.

My guess is that the crash scared the owner and now he wants it out of his life and to get as much money back out of it as possible.

I feel bad for him, that’s a tricky situation.

Yup must have decided the bike wasn't for them, or just couldn't find the time to ride it.

Regarding the 400 that's highly likely...and why I think it's best to get something used & cheap when first starting out. You already know that!

What always amazes me is when you see listings for a 5 year old bike that is asking the same as it was new 5 years ago. It’s always “something something SPECIAL EDITION” “rare bike, one of xxx” which only means that their ninja 300 will have different stickers or that the fairings they scratched up are more expensive to replace or fix. Around here we also get, “Honda 750, it’s a classic cafe racer, collectors item, don’t make them like this anymore” but it’s not from 69 or 70. It’s a 93 nighthawk or an unidentifiable 80s 750 with a windjammer on it and neither has run in 20 years..... 6k no lowballs.....

Not to rant, but I have been shopping for a 05-07 zx6r and they are destroyed or 8k and I know they are not rare and are not worth 8k. Even the bad ones are 4 or 5k. For that I could import a bike that wouldn’t pull up next to me at the gas station and be just as much fun....

the 636 bikes carry the stunt tax, kinda like how a 240sx fetches crazy money because of the drift tax

but totally agree with the over asking price, someone here some months back wanted over 10k for a cafe bike, something about it being a rider and not a show bike :der:

show bike caffe builds wont fetch 10k, much less a "rider"

When it comes to older sport bikes it's difficult to find one that wasn't dropped or crashed. Somehow that must drive up the price of a clean one in the seller's mind.

But yeah people in general typically over value what they have, myself included lol
