I didn’t even know what was going on, I was 5 miles out town and decided something wasn’t right and found that.

Looks like another 4 hour wait at Walmart

Bought a set of new studded Maxxs for 500$

 

Look at all the additional clearance I got from that bubble

I hate it when a day's paycheck has to go to buying a new tire

 

Additional sidewall traction

I dunno, my sister had two tires like that she was driving on for god knows how long, with multiple bubbles in the sidewall. Only caught it because one was losing air and she asked me to look at it. And she was carting my nephew around all day in that car.

Point being I doubt that would've killed you on a highway, probably would've given out on the trail somewhere though

The ~$25 per tire warranty that Discount Tire offers is worth imo, you get a tire replaced no questions asked if one gets damaged irreparably. I've had to use it a few times over the years and its definitely paid for itself and then some

 

Walmart’s is similar


But it excludes off-road use

 

Discounts doesn't, or at least they didn't ask when I had to get an STMaxx replaced on my first set of them. I mean it's kind of obvious anyway lol.

 

My tire just got a hole in the sideway driving down the highway

 

In 30 + years of life I have never bought tires brand new

Did they replace it?
The thing that would worry me about an exclusion in the terms like that, is that you're buying all terrain or mud terrain tires and putting them on a truck that looks like it goes offroad, they're probably going to deny your warranty claim whether or not it happened offroad
