Marlin should remind you via email. You need to put the Jesus CD in and bless them as well. If you don't, you're probably going to hell when you die.

full story. i have a 4runner, installed jdfab lower control arm pivots
    total chaos expedition series lcas
    icon heimed ucas
    king secondary shocks

now the car feels a bit skiddish. shop attributes it to my front having so much more shock and my rear shocks needing a rebuild.

dont the rears usually last longer before a rebuild than the fronts?

Here’s the truck after adjustments and a much needed wash! this is at about 2.25” lift with 285/70/17 tires.

    Whole lotta stuff
I do mine whenever I grease the driveshaft. If you go through dirt and mud, greasing after can't hurt since that's when the most debris will get in there. Usually every 6-8k miles for me.

According to this page 22.25 extended and 17.75 compressed: https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads...tures-bs-thread.341630/page-191#post-22545998

    Add 1/2" for extended travel

Curious to hear your results. I have a similar setup and the same observations as you. I pretty much accept it now. The worst is when I’m off-roading it tops out a lot when the wheel rapidly unload, especially when going up a steep slope and the front end is mostly unloaded. And my passenger side is worse than my driver side. I’m convinced I’m not harming it I just wish it weren’t so jarring. The ride quality is phenomenal and the handling in high speed desert terrain with the adjusters all the way in makes me giddy thinking about it.

ETA: Missing link and correcting for extend travel

arent the new setups (after 2018) supposed to have internal top out springs in them to reduce this?

Ugh. I reached out to ADS to see if there was an update on my shocks....

they said the company they use as a plater doesn’t have plating material and that’s why the shocks have been sitting since forever ago.

Ugh. You’d think dealers would be on them to find a new plater... smh. How can you go a fiscal quarter with no shock delivery.

Does anyone know if ADS makes a 12 inch for a 12 inch rear conversion for the taco and what they may be valued at?

I haven't done anything to these yet to address the issue. Honestly, I'm not sure if it's top-out or just the heavy ass tire slamming down on the ground. But yeah, same scenario as you when this happens. I may lessen the preload when I get around to it. When I installed them, I left the rings where they were from ADS and did not experience this. It was after I added a little preload and installed heavy load range D tires. When I get around to making more adjustments, I'll report back. I'll may need another alignment if I do so.

Keep in mind that it’s not just ADS having issues with lead times on shocks. I’m at 8 weeks since I ordered custom shocks from them and just received a shipping label notification. Hopefully they ship this week which is much better than the 8 month lead times I’m hearing about with King and Fox.

As far as I know mine do. They have the 45 degree fitting on the reservoir which I have heard indicates they have the top out spring. I put mine on in fall 2019. My billy 5100’s used to top out as well. So I dunno, maybe it’s just me :D

I’ve always had some additional preload on mine. Right now I’m around 22.25 hub to fender so not a huge amount.

I’ve only had these on with E load tires, two different sizes: 32” and 34”. Haven’t noticed a difference at all different tire pressures.

I spoke with Tyler (mullet guy) last week or maybe week before and he said they stopped including the internal bump-stop-top-out thingys a while ago

well that sucks. Why the F would they do that? It’s pretty much standard technology in good coilovers isn’t it?

So basically it isn’t needed if you aren’t having the issue when you rebuild?
