Would work as a parking cover/bumper. When I visited NY, most people had these on their car.

Wow, that really says something about parallel parking habits.

Parking is precious in NY. If they think can make their car fit, they’ll bump your shit out of the way. LA people would lose their shit if they had to drive/park regularly out there.

I have an uncle who lived in NY and complained about this all the time - he had a 2nd gen when living there and ended up getting the full ARB front and some other after market rear just to protect his truck. He didn't do any off roading or anything just hated getting his stuff all banged up. I cant even imagine...

Not true. I lived in Westwood for 3.5 years and it's the same thing. My front and rear bumper were pretty flawless before I started my tenure there. When I left, it had about 50-75 screw holes, chips, etc on it.

I'd come out to my car with someone resting their bumper on mine. I've watched from my balcony people squeezing in and out of cramped parking spots. When you live in an area where parking is scarce, you'll see the wildest things. Everyone in the area was used to that way of life. When I parked within 3 blocks of my apartment, that would be considered close to me.

This has made me appreciate the value of owning my own parking spot. I'll never forgive myself for not paying the extra $60 a month to have my own parking spot during my 3.5 years there.

However when you're a poor college student, that $60 a month is quite valuable. How else was I going to buy beer and get my swerve on!

Artesia and Hawthorne around 1:30pm. I should've zoomed out, I realized after there was a modded cement 3rd gen on the right lane. I apologize if you're in here

when I lived in NYC (2000-2007) - midtown manhattan, we had an 86 lincoln towncar, i would often attempt to get into tight spots, sometimes watching the car behind rising up as our bumpers clashed (and perhaps the one in front) i tried not to do this of course, but it was somewhat accepted - like the high possibility of getting parking tickets. if you have ever seen the episode of 'seinfield' where they are parking cars, it was very real...... eventually we just paid to park in a garage
