    No mods at this time.
I saw this super cool red Tacoma at CFA today in Durham. I got to lead the Tacoma line in the drive thru! If the dude is on TW, man your truck is awesome and you're making me want to get a TRD Pro grille.

So the clutch on the Corolla started slipping around 36k miles. I chalked it up to our staff not knowing how to drive manual very well.

I get to the shop and this is the old clutch. Anyone know what causes the friction material to shear off of just one side? I’ve never seen anything like that before

Shit bolted onto other shit, and junk.
Is that OEM? Poor manufacturing? I could understand once it gets low or perhaps a gouged flywheel, or some foreign debris, but that would be slim odds of that.

Bad install? Someone leaving their foot resting on the clutch?

It was oem so potentially bad install from the factory.

and it’s certainly possible my staff are riding the clutch but I can’t see the end result being that

car is basically brand new. It’s got to be a factory defect cause I also don’t think any foreign object were found during the install process

Nope, that is a symptom of someone doing clutch dumps. how blue was the flywheel or pressure plate ? Probably exacerbated by riding the clutch as well.
Manual transmission in the hands of someone not caring (it’s not mine, fuck it) and inexperienced.

Time for some sort of vehicle monitoring device that they don’t know about so you can see how your assets are being treated in your absence.
It may not be intentional, but shit driving is just that.

You think? This car has zero guts to it so didn’t think it made enough power to do that much damage. Y’all certainly know more than I do. And yea everyone got an earful from me at our midday meeting. Just playing it safe and putting the fear of god in our drivers in case it was thier fault lol

That shit is expensive (arguably cheaper than a clutch though). I looked into it a while back and decided against just cause of the monthly fees

Looks like the top half has never made contact with the flywheel.
How much was a new clutch and install? Needing a new one in my matrix.

Straight Talk has an OBD sensor connector that has alerting parameters for speed, distance, location, jerky movements or something like that.
