Picked up some more upland ammo and a case for the overflow. Spoke with a gun counter rep at Cabela's and he told me they now have to sweep the store hourly (I'm assuming on ammo delivery days) as people with grab ammo and hide it throughout the store for them to grab later or for someone else to come in and get. People suck.

 

I had a dream lastnight about the local gun store, I went in and all of their display cases were full of jewelry because they couldn't get any guns

 

Sometimes this would happen too.

Looks like a German Shorthair. I'm sure other dog breeds can be trained very well but I was most impressed with my late Uncles dog when it came to pheasant hunting.

 

Just stop by Cabelas to see what they had for pistol ammo all out till tomorrow But I did find 12 gauge Ammo I bought 4 cases of 2 3/4” and 4 cases of 3” for a total of 2000 rounds That stuff is heavy

 

grabbed some glock/ak/ sr25 mags at the lgs this morning

 

Just checked it without tearing it apart, everything is working properly. Takedown pins, safety selector, mag release, everything. Maybe it was an extra?

 

Thanks. Yes, GSP. That was back in 2011. I had to put my last one down back in 2018. First time w/out dog in a looong time. I hunted both upland (Ruffed Grouse primarily here in ME and all forms of waterfowl). I'm due for another soon. Here's a pic of both (had about a year of overlap). Great dogs! I always made a point to be sure mine were well behaved in public and extremely well socialized (with people and other dogs).

Got my Clipdraw on for the Hellcat RDP, love these things. Been using em for years for trouble free holsterless concealed carry.

 

Does sweating come into play with the gun rusting or do you just clean it often?

 

I really dont clean my guns as often as i should, but ive also never had any malfunctions.

Ive mountain biked several times with the P938 with a Clipdraw on, gun slides between shorts and briefs, have never had an issue with the finish.

Been using Clipdraw for as long as ive been licensed now, about 12 yrs and no complaints.

Couple downsides - I dont recommend it on firearms without safeties if carried chambered, also if you have concerns about reholstering then of course stick with rigid holsters, need two hands to slide this back under the waistband.
