What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

It does fit under the bed, I had to bend the tabs back with a BFH, these are 33s, but I really prefer it under the tonneau nice and secure. A buddy of mine actually had his shitty steel spare stolen right in his driveway from under his bed, lol. Granted I live in a better neighborhood but still.
It's also much easier to get to if I need it. I've witnessed a situation where dude could not get the spare out from under the bed due to the way the bed was positioned after he got a flat. He had to drive it for a bit on the flat to be able to drop the spare.
I actually have my roof rack set up for it as well, so I have 3 areas I can store it depending on my needs. If I need the bed, it goes on the rack. If I need the bed and the rack, it goes underneath. I like options.

 

Yep, I got @Puppypunter building me some plug and play harnesses that I can put inline with the factory harness. Then I just plug in my strobe module to those harnesses and we are good to go.

 

Installed the truxedo X15 Pro yesterday and was going to do the led headlight bulbs but it turns out it has the OEM leds in there. I had ordered them the day I bought the truck but it hadn’t been delivered yet. So that’s a huge plus for me. Picked it up today from the tint shop this AM, now it’s 5% all the way around and a 50% entire front windshield. Super happy with the results

 

do those work with the OEM cover? Would like to keep the one that came on the truck but have the ability to mount bikes above

 

I paid extra for the super white color matched and wish i hadn't.

 

This is what I just installed. They came in packaged really well and the color matched. I’m satisfied.

 

Between yesterday and today, pulled off the chrome caps and painted them with Rust-Oleum Bed Coating. Turned out pretty good looking.

 

Finally got weather and the time to install the Retrax Pro.

 

I ordered the ecoological bumper shellz in the TPO textured black a couple weeks ago. They just shipped. Looks like delivery is scheduled on the 10th.

 

I put those on my truck. They look great. Only thing I'd recommend for the install is some plastic no mar wedges. I used a screwdriver but had to be super careful.

Did you hook the buttons up to any lights or anything? That would be freakin' sweet.

 

Now that’s awesome! Looks like an Apache cyclic. I’m not sure if they used the same on Blackhawks, Hueys or other helos or I guess other aircraft.

 

Installed a dash cam today. Put it on the washer fuse so it won’t draw battery power when the vehicle is off.

So after a few days there will be a problem with rubbing with bumps. Turned into a parking lot with a steep entrance from the street and got a crunch on the plastic. Off-road will be worse, so I'm definitely going to have to do some cutting. Front only.

 

I am about to install a garmin mini, but I was concerned about how it would stick to the area with black dots. But now I read it is called frit, a baked on enamel or ceramic that helps bond the windshield glass to metal. So the mount should stick better? Does the bond seem secure?

 

I was hesitant to put it on those as well, but still wanted it hidden behind the rearview. It seems secure enough for now but I guess time will tell! Fortunately the camera came with a couple of extra adhesive pads so I'm not too worried about it.

 

I went over some of the details here. You basically need to reverse engineer the stitching as best you can. Make note of where they started and stoped their stitch, pay careful attention to how they weaved their pattern, how they used adhesive to tuck the ends, etc.

Fits my interior MUCH better. I couldn't stand the red any longer.

 

Got my strobe module partly wired and mounted, just need to run wires to the headlights, tails and mirrors. I tested it out on some LED trailer lights I had laying around, things pretty cool. Does alternating flash, steady burn, and 21 different patterns for the flash. I need to order some more OEM style switches though for it to control the functions.
