Im going to have to do this when I swap out my 09 lower console for the 12-15. I just need to find a head unit I like so I can have a real reason to pull all that apart :annoyed::frusty:

What's that red/orange line, battery cable or air line? Looks like it may get a hole in it from rubbing on stuff.

It’s a air line that houses my arb line. It acts as a protective sleeve for the real air line!

Accumulating lots of bits & pieces for new upgrades. Shipments slowly trickling in, just a waiting game for missing items. Major upgrades coming this weekend if UPS cooperates and finds my packages...

Anyone have a recommendation for LED Brake Lights? My last two sets intermittently worked because (and I can only assume because the OEM work great) of too much play in the socket. Looking for an LED that snaps into the socket. The last two sets didn’t snap in and I’m sure that’s why they had issues.

Right on, I like my dasaita so far, might be worth looking into.

I originally thought I could just swap the 12v lids but of course not lol. Are you doing a full interior gen swap?

I actually like the 05-11. Not too many left near me. I have a sport honeycomb grille too. Looks great with the devil horns

But no, just swapping to the 12-15 lower console. Ill check out the dasaita, but I use an iphone, so Im not sure its compatible? I also need f&r camera input. Id like to move the rear camera to the screen, but I really suck with wiring diagrams. I would gladly pay someone for a plug and play harness.

What spacers/back space do you have?

I’m on 295s and 3.5” bs and found rubbing on the firewall and inner fender and had to bring out the BFH again because I have successfully cracked my core support with the tires hitting the inner fender when I wheel

    cracked core support

I've pulled mine apart so many times I have a slight squeak on shitty roads lol first was the headunit then when i added a bass amp. Then again when I added a four channel amp then again for steering wheel controls and then I pulled it apart to add a USB directly to my head unit and dual USB charging ports lol I now want to add a rear view camera and a third amp for outside speakers for camping and stuff lol I'm just going to wait and do it all at once.

Right on, I agree. Ya I've seen your truck before, good looking build

So the dasaita is a android unit. It's absolutely compatible with iphone as long as you purchase a required dongle. Being android there might be a learning curve but nothing out of the ordinary. I run a front bumper cam no problem and planning to wiring another back up cam because of how much of a pain in the ass it is to reroute the mirror cam. The HU is 95% plug and play. The only issue with android is the updates. You'll eventually hit a update wall and fall behind leaving you in android purgatory lol. But it's seriously not that big of a deal. A local shop put on spidertrax 1.25in spacers and I have 4.1 backspace to avoid rubbing my upc. Haven’t wheeled yet but I’m sure I would rub even more under compression.

yup, love the look of them. Twinsies!

Actually took it to a shop, much cheaper than dealer, it’s a fuel injector chemical treatment under pressure with a fuel injector cleaner brand, started with a B.....it dislodges carbon crap accumulated on your injectors and gets them clean and able to spray fully......IF you run smoother and regain acceleration like I did, it means they were a little dirty.......
Pretty standard as my previous owner didn’t do a lot of maintenance.......from everything I’ve seen.
On my way to 300K is the plan.

Thought it was something I could possibly do in my drive way lol. I'll have to check around and see if any shops around me do it. If not over the counter stuff will have to do for the time being.

Or you could just unplug the two plugs under the driver's seat, one plug for the seat belt chime and the other plug for the weight sensor. The truck will think someone is always sitting in the driver's seat with the seat belt on. As long as the truck doesn't drive itself the air bag and all other features will function normally. But it will suck if the truck drives itself and gets into a crash because you'll need to replace the air bags that went off with no people in it...
