    Review time:

Well first of all thanks Eric for putting up with a lot of my dumb questions prior to installing the HH and u bolt flip kit! I have about 350 miles with the hangers including two desert trips, daily driving, and crawling. Installing the hammer hangers definitely took longer than I was expecting but, went very smooth. I ended up using a giant (very old) industrial drill instead of my Milwaukee drill since it could power through the metal a lot faster. Instructions were straight forward and attention to detail is key.. I actually put one of the bolts on backwards on the shackle and had to remove the hanger to swap the bolt.

On the street: I really didn't notice much of a difference other than the small jitters went away when driving on the freeway. I also noticed I can drive faster over speed bumps now without the rear feeling like its getting thrown around.

Off-roading: I do a mix of high speed and crawling usually in 29 palms/Joshua tree area and hammer my truck pretty well. High speed off-roading is where this really shined for me. I had always wanted a more plush and smooth truck. For some reason my rear suspension setup has always felt stiff not wanting to "eat up the bumps" as well as I wanted, no matter what settings my compression adjusters were at. After installing the hammer hangers, the rear soaks everything up just like the front suspension. I couldn't get a smile off my face because I have never been more satisfied with a night and day comparison after a part install. I was amazed that a part like this would make that much of a difference.

I was on the edge about buying hammer hangers and skeptical if the reviews were really true and I can stand by the reviews and say you WILL notice a difference.

    Suspension list:
    - King 2.5 EXT w/ compression adjusters
    - Icon RXT leaf springs (option 1)
    - 270/75/17
    - Archive U Bolt Flip Kit with wheelers super bumps
    - Hammer hangers (reuse stock shackles and bushings in rearmost position) (no cross tube, spare tire still mounted under bed)

*extra weight on the truck including prinsu roof rack and rock sliders *

I have pictures but if you look at older posts... my hammer hangers look just like everyone else.

Finishing up the install of my HH today. The rivets definitely is the worst part.

Thank you Jason! I will add the recommendation to install shackles into the Hh or shackles to the springs, before the Hh are bolted to the frame. The kit includes metal locknuts for all hardware, hence no real need for loctite. The reason the upper shackle bolt needs to point threads outward is when you drive the truck hard off road, shackles sway side to side a bit.

Nice video, Eric's hangers are best out there and quality is great. Instructions easy to follow. Look forward to installing more of his products on my truck!

Shorter actually.....the wilco with my spare jets out farther then the swingout bumper will.

Already have the SOS HC rear. So add on swing outs don’t really work.

    Whole lotta stuff
Weld on a tire gate. Betcha SOS would even make the gate for you. There’s also a lot of other DIY gates out there as well.

Sounds like the shackle brace would do even more for you. I wish the defined brace was still available. I’m sure the HH are beefy but unless you plan to use them as rock sliders you can get even better results from only a cross brace

Sorry that is not true, the stock hangers are so weak, you cannot fix the stock hangers by bolting to the shackle bolt. The Defined might help a little for ride but relies on the shackle bolt strength under bending force, and the strength just isn't there, bolts are strong in straight tension clamping force, not bending.

These pics were from a customer who destroyed his stock hangers with the Defined bar in place, it does very little.

that’s intense. If I’m looking at it correctly, one side doesn’t seem to be bent as much as the other implying that it was mostly just the right side bolt that bent. Probably had to cut that whole thing apart to get that bolt out.

seems like that cross tube can do more harm than good with the stock hangers. It gives one side an opportunity to bend the other if it’s not tied into the crossmember in some way.
