I am happy with the way my SC modified Tacoma drives. I did not add the SC for speed. I added it for useful power, simple driving and towing.

If I wanted a 1/4 mile demon I'd bought something completely different. This SC will not make our Taco's NHRA material but it will make driving a pleasure rather than a slow turtle stumble to the stop light.

@johntoyota how was Wing Wednesday ? pushed it to 3500 today - 30mph to 60mph quicker than a flash and still powering forward. Had to take the foot off of it because it was time to turn right.

It is a whole new truck with the blower and it's a whole new truck every time you mod on top of it. Totally worth it and I would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone ever. A supercharger for our otherwise underwhelmingly powered trucks is seriously a no brainer. Plus that sweet whine is SO much fun to hear while boosting.

I'm very excited to get mine installed as I just drained the wallet and sold my soul and purchased one now that Magnuson finally got CARB approval for all 50 states. Anyone have any good shop install recommendations for Southern Calironia? Specifically in Orange County or Riverside County (I live in Riverside County), but willing to drive to LA county areas as well. I'm still debating on whether or not to try to tackle on the install with a friend but right now I'm just looking for install pricing. In any case, I'm super stoked and excited to get mine installed. Someone mentioned Cabe Toyota in Long Beach, but I figured I'd shop around.

I finally got the tune yesterday and took it out for a spin. I admit there is a noticeable difference in power, but not put you in your seat type. I appreciate having the extra power needed if towing and passing though. I'll give it a week or two to settle in (it's also sucking up a couple gallons of regular fuel mixed with 93). I did have to push it up to 3000rpm on the highway and yes....wow....I'm still smiling! lol I actually couldn't hear the spinning until that point and even then I thought is was very quiet. I kept getting quoted $1800 for install. My nephew had all the tools at his work, so dropping oil, big torque impact, pressure testing, and little things like a reverse 12pt socket (for when the stud comes off) come in real handy where you don't have to buy tools and wait. The biggest advise I can give anyone doing this is to break into the box and pull the VF tuner document to get registered and work through the 3-4 day process of getting the tuner before you actually physical install. That is the biggest killer imho.

My first tank of gas was not as exciting as the second tank. Mpg got better and response was quicker. Seem like it learned the new fuel trims by the second tank. Did you take off the restrictor?

I got in contact with my dealer and they’re sending the carb sticker. Seems I got lucky and my order slipped through the cracks. My dealer didnt even know that Magnuson was not shipping to Cali.
It was the first and only 3rd gen SC he sold.

He was the person I dealt with at Magnuson, he helped me try and locate a blower in-stock from a retailer but to no avail and then did an excellent job answering my questions which inevitability resulted in me placing an order with him.

it is there - look on the location where the 1/4 inch hose comes into the bottom of the bypass restrictor (driver side of the SC) it is a small brass insert stuck into the restrictor piping under the location where the hose is pushed over the connecting pipe.

I was wondering if they just hadn’t updated their website. Have you contacted them?
