This is the secondary backlight source. The main relay and power is sourced straight from the battery. They can be turned on independently from everything else, but the switch lighting only comes on when the head/tail lights come on.

Only if the switch is engaged, or turned on.

IF switches are on at sunrise driving in a country road to work, park and you turn truck off, work 10 hours, come back to a drained battery?...

Ok, let me try to be as clear as possible for you. The ditch lights themselves are powered off the battery, so they can be turned on independently from anything else. The switch can be wired into the fuse box also the way I explained to give it power (backlight) which will ONLY come in when the headlights are turned on. If the ditch lights are left on all day long, than that's a different issue altogether of forgetting to turn them off. It has nothing to do with the way the system is wired up.

Just making it clear for those that read, it's not a substitute for the other expensive brands. As in the ones that assist having a few circuits ON/OFF at any time and/or circuits that will only be available when IGN input is received. AND the ones that monitor battery voltage to shut off if left ON.

I was just trying to give you another option, but maybe someone else can help you then. You seem to have it all figured out already.

It was that the OP was so adamant (time constrained) about getting that particular IGN wire connected with no particular info on the why, and no one would assist him. The wire does not do what most other system do, that is all.

P.S. I would not recommend buying/using it without adding a shut off circuit that is NOT the switches.

Both are "hot" after vehicle is ACC/ON.

Or use the Tail circuit. (Panel or Tail fuse)

Unknown to me before arriving at Son's, he and a "friend" had previously added a Cab roof rack which included 4 each LED area side lights (1 circuit) and a forward LED light bar with yellow ends and white center (2 circuits). So...there was a little more planning and work to do than I had expected. The already added lights with stand alone harnesses, relays and dedicated switches...in addition to the new ditch lights (1 circuit), all had to be integrated with the new aux fuse and switch panels. Let's just say, by the time I was done splicing, dicing, removing relays, switches, excess wire and cleaning things up there was a BIG pile of crap left on the ground. All in all it came out real good though. For the record, his truck has the sunroof and that is a BIG no-no with the roof rack. Was hoping I could use that fuse as a switched source, but my meter said it was on a hot batt bus...so just left that fuse out to avoid any future "accidents". Ended up using the supplied fuse tap (installed correctly) at P/OUTLET NO 2 for switched source and everything work out perfect.

Thanks again for all the help!

Just to clarify...a switched bus was used so the aux fuse panel, aux switch panel and aux lights are only powered and available when the vehicle is powered up.
