Remember me cutting these and machining the brass last month? Got them back from the fab shop, they made the handles and welded them together so they would look like this

I don’t do enough TIG welding to be good at it and never been to school for it. This is for our biggest customer so we send it out to be welded. 95% of the stuff we make for them is stainless.

Found a 4 flute endmill the corners were wore so I decided to give it a try. Got the old Lufkin radius gauge set out, went to the carbide wheel on the grinder and did a test piece. I think it’ll work.

Never seen such Hustle when that Truck pulls up & sounds that Air Horn. Fastest the Guys move all day. Cute Girl with the Halter Top might have somethin’ to do with it. Oh, & then there’s the Food too.

Crap , took my truck to our local body shop because the clear coat is failing. 4 grand estimate to redo the hood and cab.

 

That’s crazy!

 

Yeah , so the search begins to find someone a lil less expensive.

 

Another special grind for this one part. Got to reach 1.318” down on this step and it can’t be bigger than a .344” end mill. Ground a 3/8” shank down and using a 5/16” cutter. Oh and here’s the 5C collet collection we have. And don’t say anything about the guard being off the grinder, I put it back on after I got done.
