Some abnormal results require an additional test, but that will have to wait till tomorrow. This review is far more interesting than I thought it would be and will definitely be worth the wait. Sorry to keep you guys on the cliffhanger. :)

Yeah, I often find myself in the "I'll sleep when I'm dead" crowd.

It's something to do with the resistance of the circuit and the motors. It's a bit too early in the morning for me to remember the theory behind it, but all in all, hot garbage (like most things on that car, come to think of it.)

Should we initiate a recall? Take the number of vehicles in the field, A, multiply by the probable rate of failure, B, multiply by the average out-of-court settlement, C. A times B times C equals X.....

I would say there's a personal responsibility aspect at play as well. If snow falls into my field of vision on my windshield it's my responsibility to pull over and clear it, and not just keep driving because my wipers aren't strong enough to push it off. If snow accumulation is sufficient enough to hinder light output, I'm supposed to clear it, not keep driving lol.

yea, but if your windshield is covered in snow it will be immediately obvious to you. as your headlights gradually become less efficient it may not be as noticeable until it is too late. most people are probably not thinking "i wonder if my headlights are hot enough" when driving their car, but i also have never lived in a cold climate so maybe i am just not as aware.

This post is a follow up to the recent chatter on H11 to H9 conversion harnesses. I received the items I ordered. I now have enough of the high quality male H9 connectors for 2 pairs of harnesses as well as plenty of pin terminals and seals.

However, I only have low quality female connectors right now. If anyone else is good at searching and hunting for these things please feel free to assist. I think it only makes sense to hand build something if we can marry up the highest quality parts given the plethora of low cost options already available.

@Taco_Coma I’m thinking you might volunteer to test this in the wild? I could as well but it would be in the minivan which is less fun to work on as the engine bay is much smaller.

Last, the question of wire gauge. For 3-4” harness I am of the opinion that anything 18 gauge or higher is fine and there is no material benefit from 16 or 14 gauge due to length. Given that the OEM harness is no bigger than 18 from what I can see. But I definitely could remove and repin the male side and go to 16 gauge if someone really wanted that. To get to 14 gauge would require a larger terminal so the parts I have can’t be used.

TLDR, almost ready to build something, still need to find high quality female H9 connectors which are the important ones as they connect directly to the bulb.

I think it's just been accepted across the industry that consumers don't pay attention to things like that. Most consumers only care about looks and rarely even think about how good or bad their lighting is or if it bothers on coming traffic. Most people just like a car for what it looks like, hence how Chrysler is still somehow in business despite making some of the worst cars in the last 20yrs.

I have a 2019 and my door locks aren't working via the fob. I can lock and unlock the car from inside the car and via the keyhole on the drivers side door. I hit unlock on the fob it unlocks the drivers then nothing. Wont let me unlock the passenger doors no matter how many times I press the fob. But once I unlock the truck it won't let me lock it with the fob. But if I lock the car from the inside and walk away the lock button will work normally. Once I push unlock once that's it stops working. Any ideas? This happens with both fobs and the fuse isn't blown.

Check the options for lock/unlock on the dash head unit--> "settings"
Perhaps try changing the battery in the fob

Is it just me because I’m getting older? So many vehicles now with cheap, crappy replacement LED bulbs in halogen housings, I’m guessing? It’s very Irritating to my eyes while driving. Be it day or night.

I would buy H9 to H11 harnesses. Once they test successfully let me know.
