@81Trekker what weld settings are you using as a starting point when you're burning the LCA pivots into the frame?

I have 5 different welders that are all the same models and the settings vary with each machine. Depending on the machine I run between 17-19v. Wire speed is all about personal preference... I run it really low but keep in mind this will make it a lot more challenging if you’re new to welding

Harry, Lets see more about the rear setups. Would the shock mount work with spring over in stock hanger location? Think J66's and a 2.5x12. Would it require wheel spacers?

Wheel spacers all depend on wheel off sets and tire size.

A 14” shock allows the axle to bump on the frame with spring under. Spring over looses at least 5” of up travel so in theory you could run a 16” travel shock with the J66 springs

Nice shackle angle. Are you still driving that truck without rear bumps? If not, I speak for everyone in requesting pics of the bump stop setup

What are your thoughts on spring under for an overweight application? traditional wisdom says spring over only for heavy rigs but it sucks losing the travel for sure. My pig is/will be over 6500lbs loaded when i'm done

Think that is Kasnerds truck...if it is he only uses the middle 3 inches of the shock so bumps are not needed

I’m driving it with some low profile energy rubber bumps. With good shocks there really is no need for anything more.

The bottom two pics are of “my truck” and the 3.0’s (with their valving) won’t let it bottom out

I thought you were gonna notch and plate the frame. So no more fab porn there? Not even limit straps?

I might still notch the frame when I pull the bed to do the fuel cell but honestly it works so good right now that all the effort probably isn’t worth it.

And it doesn’t need straps as the springs limit the travel

So the kit is $2400 and includes:
    -H70 springs
    -Shock Mounts
-Bolt on 62" leaf swap brackets
    -Shackle

So anyone buying this would need to source shocks, extended brake lines, limit straps and bumps? Am I missing anything? My brain needs to know and I work nights and keep forgetting to call on my way into work.
What's the recommended brake line length for this setup with SUA and 14" shocks? Is the 19" travel before or after frame notch? :goingcrazy:

I believe they are using the Deaver H70 springs.
