I called my local dealership and they told me they couldn't order and that I would have to go through toyota or something. I was trying to bypass the $25 shipping. So I was going to order from the website we discussed by it said it would come in the week I'm out of town. So I guess I'll have to order it next week sometime.
Will you let me know how the install goes and if we need any other parts for some reason? Also, take before and afters if you have time.

That's odd because my 2021 Tacoma TRD OR had the "Taco lean" right off the show room floor.

I bought just the shocks. I’ll be installing them next week myself with stock coils and Wheelers AAL

How much lean do you have? I am currently 1/4” lower on the drivers side with OEM suspension, half tank of gas, and empty bed. Putting a 1/4” spacer would raise it a 1/2” (suspension geometry) and make 1/4” higher on drivers side.

So for me, 1/4” lean is well within “good enough”. If you have at least 1/2” lean then it probably makes sense to add the spacer. Every truck will be slightly different.

Or they can just get the TRD shocks, rather than the whole kit. 5100s are actually more expensive than these shocks when bought separately. I’m pretty sure the only thing 5100s include that these shocks don’t is new bushings, which are actually pretty cheap if you wanted to replace those as well

You could get a 1/8" spacer to solve the 1/4" lean.

I was pointing out that stock Tacoma's have the lean which contradicts your statement that they don't.

I removed the stock suspension 2 days after purchase and installed Bilstein 6612/5160, front coil-overs and rear remote resi shocks.

i think that the big draw for these (which i believe bilstein makes) over the 5100s is the resale value and keeping things oem

Has anyone from Canada been able to order this either online, or at the dealer? Playing with the idea of going this route only for warranty purposes.

OEM is one thing but it's not orginal standard equipment. Were not talking about a rare muscle car, it's just a Tacoma. I also don't the the next buyer of a used truck is too concerned about OEM shocks and struts. Just my thoughts as people are putting to much though into this kit. A 1/4 shim is not OEM, not the diff drops if needed, or the clamshell bushing replacement. Lots of non orginal equipment parts goi g on here.

Same thing happened to me. The grille was all busted but they found one with the gray letters better matching my truck and put that one on.

i disagree.... while not a classic, it is still a $40k ride.....and i may be wrong , but i believe that most people or dealerships seem to frown on heavily modded vehicles....the new buyer wants to take that journey....with these parts it has that "it came this way from the factory" vibe....not the "me an my buddy steve got drunk and put this lift kit on...it rides way better, i promise" vibe
