I went to Rigs and Coffee this morning. Here's a picture of the place. Everybody walked about outside. Service was good at the coffee shop.

    upload_2021-2-27_7-9-15.jpg

I counted 13 rigs. Good turnout considering the weather. There was another T4R not in the picture. Good group. I think we may take a trail ride next month.

Didn’t make it out due to swapping leafs out this morning

Changed out the All-Pro standard leaf pack for the heavy duty Expo leaf pack.

If I hadn’t done it during that time I was going to try to make it. Perhaps next month.

Also if anyone is interested I’ll be going to AOP in TN next month if anyone is interested.

Neat. Disagree with the guys statement that the park isn't stock truck friendly though, half of that place can be driven in a stock truck if you pick your lines well and air down. (Skids wouldn't hurt either)

Need a little expert/real world advice.....got a '17 Tacoma TRD OR, dbl cab, 108,000 miles. Daily driver, with a camper shell, truck vault & ab 50 extra lbs of stuff. Suspension is all stock, save the Bilstein 5100 shocks all around. It rides fine, but is a little squishy in the back. Really squats when I hook the trailer and ranger up. Would the better option be:

    A. multi-leaf, progressive add-a-leaf spring packs

    B. complete new spring packs

Just wondering what the consensus is...I'd rather do it once and do it right, vs. go the "less expensive" route and be doing it again in 6 months.

    Thanks for the help!

Leaf spring upgrade or Ride Rite air bags if you can swing the cost..or both. Upgrading with a leaf pack obvi isn't adjustable, but with the Ride Rites, you can add or release air based on your load. If you're pulling a trailer with a camper shell, it'll improve your ride and squish noticeably.

Great option. And if you manage to break an airbag, then you need a Titan or a Tundra :muscleflexing:

Mr. Rich Tenbeers convinced me to give airbags a shot, and I've been very impressed with how they take bumps and handle loads. Leafpack upgrades are great when loaded, but unloaded mine were beating me to death.

I am also a fan of airbags, running the Firestones with Daystar cradles myself.

I think the cradles are a must if you doing much offroad. Worth it IMO. Those bags only stretch so far

    Yeah.
Eh, I didn't do the cradles, but I don't have a lift. They don't seem to limit my flex any, and the bags are designed to be strong enough to hold the axle and tires with no other support. But, I would say that even if I did an inch or 2 lift I would likely do the cradles just for peace of mind. I could see blowing up some of the plumbing, but the bags are pretty protected and tough.

Now, they are a bit of pain to install -- not terrible, but there are some bolts that require some patience since they are in a tight spot that you can't really see. Give yourself enough time, take deep breaths.

I like them mainly because my loads vary quite a bit. I'm usually not carrying much more than the rack and tent, but adding 400-500 pounds or more for a camping trip or mulch load, it is nice to be able to adjust. I don't think there's a leaf pack that can deal effectively with that. If I was always carrying around a lot of stuff, I'd likely just go with a leaf pack upgrade.

In other news, I am going stir crazy. Need to get out. Can't this weekend, headed to Mountain Home to celebrate my parents' 60th anniversary. But hopefully soon . . .

I was just out at Mountain Home last week. And Norfork and Ponca and in between. :D
Sunday to Wednesday was perfect weather to be out exploring, hiking, and fishing.

I got to go exploring this morning without being in a lot of weekend traffic. Tomorrow will be nice and I'm sure OARK CARE and Carwash Falls will be busy.
