You mean tear out and replace? Or slab jack?

I can't tell much in the pics but you should be able to calculate the concrete volume with some simple measurements.

Jack. The concrete itself is in excellent shape, no cracks, just sloping from the house.

I was gonna say, slabs look OK. Not sure what part of the country, but maybe $1000, depending on the length. Expensive area, maybe $1500 - $2000 just a wild ASS GUESS. Fancy radio ad companies will be more.

They often go by sq ft. $2-$4+ per ft sq

If it can be kept under a grand I'd be happy. Only about 175 sq ft. total. I'll do more research this weekend and request some quotes soon. Prices probably go up in the spring since that's when everyone wants work done. Thanks for the replies.

I bet it will squeak in under $1k. Looks very accessible. I couldn't really guess the size.

I don't see this kind of work from home owners

They usual call saying paint is peeling or want me to fix the screw up of holidays, runs, over spray etc.

    Not you

    Prep, prime and finish coats

Great job covering of bathroom before spraying

Looking at the pictures you did an excellent job

And I'm a licensed painter with over 35 years of experience

...^^^... I lifted a small job like that ... by digging under the slab and used hydraulic bottle jacks (labor intensive) ... then used chunks of concrete and bag mix pushed under the slab to anchor and keep it level. It was on a big hill too and it worked out very well.

On a long concrete walk like that ... maybe you could heavy mortar the surface and use some cool looking pavers?

I used pavers set in wet concrete on a past project and it worked out well. I will widen my driveway (new house with prebuilt driveway) with a 30" wide concrete slab with pavers tapped into the wet surface. If it cracks and it will .... that is ok as I will have some wire in it.

    WTF???

    20210306_115728.jpg

I was working on the pool equipment to see if anything got messed up from it freezing the other week. I noticed that the ozonator was wired into 120V but is marked as 240V, so I rewired it. My screwdriver broke while trying to loosen the set screw holding the neutral wire. Tried a bigger blade, and it still wouldn't come loose. I just cut the wire at the neutral bus with a pair of flush cutters. The ozonator bulb still doesn't light, so it's dead.

As for the other pool equipment, the controller won't power on, and the two fuses on the board are good. The pump will run when I put power to it, but it isn't sucking from the pool. It just pulls the water in the little reservoir down. Unfortunately, I don't have time to dig deeper into the pump. I'm leaving tomorrow for work, and I'm going to be on the road for 3-4 weeks.

...^^^... Your job looks great ...

I started to do that on my last house (kitchen) but chickened out. S/W is supposed to have a paint that can be brushed and will look like it was sprayed.

I will watch your progress because I might help a buddy on his kitchen cabinets project like your project.

Today I learned that Amazon sells dryer rebuild kits for 30 bucks. Also, it only took 10 screws to disassemble my dryer.

At least it's working now.

It's Stanley. It's not expensive, but not bottom of the barrel. Still chinesium though. The wtf was more for how tight the set screw is.
