Pretty sure I know the spot. Me and my Dad used to fish there. I have a Geocache hidden up on the hill across the road from the falls.

Haven’t crawled under to see *everything* yet, but this doesn’t inspire confidence. Going to take a hammer to some spots and see what snakes apart.

Having a harder time thinking I’ll find a place to pass this for inspection. I know a few spots that will look the other way to an extent, but this might look like someone opened a glitter box of rust on their garage floor!

What year is it? I apologize if I missed it in an earlier post. That is really rough looking though. Good luck.

It’s a 2004. The previous (if I take it) owners have maintained the typical stuff (clutch, brakes, etc), but never got it in for the recall work because of deployments and forgetting. I called and made a case for it and the service rep said they wouldn’t be able to do it because the deadline passed (and I assume they wouldn’t get reimbursed by Toyota corporate for it).

Have a friend who has a garage that’s going to take a look at it on a rack. It might be spare parts at this point.

Sounds like the good thing is that you haven't bought it yet. Sucks all the same.

It’s actually being given to me for free, but it won’t do me much good if the frame is rotted. I was going to fix it up for my mom (she’s wanted a smaller truck for what feels like decades), but I don’t wanna put her in an accordion.

If all else fails and it’s dusted for road use, I’ll give it to my buddy for it to have life on the farm

Hey fellow mountaineers! I just picked up a new Tacoma recently and have been enjoying it thoroughly. I live in Preston County close to Morgantown, do some rafting/mtb/fly fishing when I’ve got free time. Did some backroad driving last week around home. Lots of water and washouts... Does anyone know of a metal fab shop within a couple hour radius of the Morgantown area that builds sliders? Pittsburgh area works too, I drive up there for work a few times a month.

Mobtown is going to be your closest that already has a Tacoma design. Any other place would be a custom job and may be more expensive.

Man that’s a 10hr round trip drive to mobtown, guess I’ll just wait for a group buy to offset shipping costs. Also plan to be driving through CO, WY, and UT during June so maybe I can work out something with a shop out there. I’d be able to pick them up then prep and paint them at a buddies place during our travels hmmm....

Ima make an assumption that you are using that same handle on another, more Wv fishing-centric forum. I enjoy reading your posts over on that one lol I go by “highfly” there. That makes at least 3 of us right @Outsider ?

anywho check this thread out: https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/fly-fishing-bs-thread.246222/
