By chance is it when you start to move from a stop? Somewhere around 2nd or 3rd gear?

Question I'm following the VF instruction guide for set up. I think I have everything downloaded VF software-wise. I open VF put in my Key, username, and password. Everything looks good I move to the step of sending matt my System ID. When I click the little micro-chip symbol to open the flash manager a new window opens but there is no System ID shown. Not sure if I'm missing something or looking in the wrong spot. o_O

There's no more need to send in your System ID or get a REG file. You're done and ready to flash.

BTW, updated Instructions are on the vFtuner.com site in the Resources menu.

Part of the confusion keeps coming from the fact that the email we get after purchasing has out dated instructions. I noticed that on the website they were different than what I was sent in the email.

The confirm/instructions email also has the gmail address down the bottom of it that we’ve been told doesn’t get checked. Some front end work needs to be done to avoid confusion for customers.

Crap must have missed that I thought I read that on the form somewhere. Trying to be good and actually read the instructions before creating tickets for no reason. So I guess the instructions are out of date.

Ok so I bought the tune pack also so the only thing I need to do is scan my ECU ID email that to Matt to get access to the tune pack for my specific truck right?

That's okay. No harm when doing your due diligence.

Yes. Just need to request the Tune Pack. As always, it is best to do the available TSB Update first. 04B04 (AT) or 04B14 (MT) for the 2017s.

Appreciate the info just downloaded the new instructions from the website I must have opened them from the email as stated above. I believe I'm on the latest TSB but I'll check once I pull the ECU info to send off.

Ok so got everything working I think? I credited by ECU/Vin it consumed 4 credits I have one credit left. How do I pull the bin file down off of my ECU? I sent Matt my ID so I can get access to the Tune Pack Server waiting on him to get back with me which I assume will be next week.

    Good stuff.

There's no need to read your ECU. But, you will need to let OVT know that you are short on Credits. You should have nine total. You'll still be able to flash, but you won't be able to edit, if you want to.

Ok I'll add that to my email I do want to make some of my own changes. So is there a way to read the ECU using VF or is that option not available to me? On other standalones I've messed with (not Toyota) I could read the ECU save a copy of the file that I leave stock incase I need to flash back and make another copy that I make edits to based on what I'm tuning for. I didn't see a read option in VF.
