but it looks like from install pictures on TC instructions they have rubbing issues. In the same spots.

I loosen the two Allen screws at top of bypass and rotated it from the compression tubes were more forward. It helped a lot with the rubbing on the shock body. But still catching the corner of the resi.

    Nice!

What backspacing do you have on your wheels? Are there any other spots rubbing at full lock when cycled?

    4.5 with a 1.25 spacer..(3.25 after spacer) spc upper position E.. I’m at 3.4 caster.

I clear the cab mount after a serious chop. I recommend the relocation. Tire rubs on lower secondary shock mount on the tc LCA just a little.

i need to replace the front bumps with wheelers bumps.

so it turns out you cant valve your coilovers for bypasses, when youre not running bypasses yet. They need to be installed together. Who knew. Learned something new today. @whatstcp

Whaaat!? someone else with bypasses on mid travel?? Stock width too? I was about to get my coilovers revalved for bypasses, but apparently you shouldnt run the revalved coilovers without the bypasses too. I just learned that today.

Ill order the King stock width bypasses this year, and with the 24 week build time, Ill probably get them installed next year.

Yea thats what Sonny told me. Horrible ride. Ill just have to ship the coilovers out again. They basically remove all of the compression and rebound valving and add it to the bypasses.

Side note, which is awesome about Downsouth, is they measure your ride height, and after rebuilding, they set it back to where it was. So you don't need an alignment afterwards. Everything goes back in, and its like it never happened. I like that!

Well yeah. The point of running the bypass is so you can have the the tunable bypass valved to dampen the suspension and not the coilovers. If you want to valve your coilover for running with a bypass, you’re pretty much removing the coilover’s ability to dampen the vehicle. So it would be like running with no shock up front. Bouncy as all heck and probably would wreck havoc on your tires.

Haha, it’s alright. I bet the wait is killing you, but it’ll sure be sweet once you get the bypasses in there.

You will be able to play around with the zones to your hearts contentment. That’s where the money makes sense. You want every bit of that suspension travel to be working specifically for you and the kind of wheeling you do.

I havent ordered them yet. I will soon though. The truck has been sitting on jack stands for a week. Its already killing me.

I hope the wait isnt as bad as the GFC that im currently waiting for haha. I put my deposit down for that at the end of October, and production wont start until June.

I had mine valved for to support the bypass. But I did not remove all the valving.. I was advised not to.

I drove about 8 months on the coilovers only. That were valved for the bypasses. There was some Osolation, my tires were already bad so I didn’t care. I cranked up the DSC to help. Now the tire with bypasses is a little firm. But planted and handles well. Haven’t tested off road. Still working out kinks and rubbing and the weather sucks

They're not literally removing all of the valving. They are going as light as possible using the thinnest valves and relying on the bypass for the dampening control. So yes, you'll loose a lot of dampening control on a coil-over valved for bypasses but no bypasses and you'll probably bottom out on speed bumps. lol

I don’t think we were moved enough shelving. Because it is a little stiff. The back feels great. Just loud with those bypass clanking

Have you had a tuning session with anyone? Assuming your bypasses are set to the standard configuration, you may need to play with some tube adjustments.

not yet man. It’s been busy at work.. until March I’m grinding.

and this freeze.. I just busted a pipe and flooded my first floor.

Just got off phone with insurance company.. they trying to dick me. Seems like my hobby will be put on hold. If the insurance screws me then I’ll be in a world of shit.

Hi folks just a friendly reminder to check your misalignment spacers and the position of the C- clip. I have moved mine to about 3 o'clock as 6 o'clock seems to be crushing the spacers. This can also cause the bolt to bend. :annoyed:Always good to do a complete tear down after a good thrashing. These are at the bottom of the UCA.
