Hi, I have blind post mirrors on my 2003 Toyota Tacoma Prerunner (2.7l l4 2WD) and I’m not a huge fan of their shape or where they are mounted. I’ve been looking for others on Amazon Canada and have been wondering if you guys have any suggestions on ones that fit well for the type of mirrors on a first gen and where to place them. As I said mine are in an awkward position due to the shape so I would like to hear your guys thoughts. Thanks.

I don’t have any pictures of the mirrors them selves it’s just the stock ones that came with the truck so the standard ones.

Thanks, did you place them away from the mirrors or on the inner portion?

Here is what I did and I love them.

I back up to loading docks and these work great for me.

So much I put them on my 4Runner and F350005.jpg

I have tried the blind spot mirrors before and honestly they are crap.

Most people do not have the mirrors adjusted correctly to alleviate the blind spot you are referring to. If you can see the side of your truck while looking out the drivers side mirror, the mirror cannot see the vehicle approaching on your left as effectively as it could.

The proper way to adjust the drivers side mirror is to adjust it outward to the point where the only time you can see your body panels of your vehicle is when you move your head to the left towards the drivers side window. If adjusted correctly, you will see the complete vehicle behind you in your rear view mirror but not yet in the side mirror. As the vehicle exits (driving at a faster speed than you) your rear view mirror you will just start seeing it in your side view mirror. Once completely out of your rear view mirror you will have full view of it in your side view mirror, and as it exits that mirror you will now see it in your peripheral vision since the vehicle will be right beside you. It does take some time getting used to this but once you are you won't set your mirrors the old way.

This is hard to explain in writing but it really works and you get much better results then relying on those tiny mirrors.
This setup can be googled too.
