Dakars are great, right up until the wear out. Took me about 3 years of very hard abuse to kill mine.

But I also hauled most of the downstairs of my house to the dump in that time.

I have RXT, used to have dakars. These things are AWESOME. Ride way better than Dakars and not all that expensive comparitively when you consider the fact that it comes with bushings, u bolts and an AAL for three different weight carrying configurations. The only potential con to some is it provides lower lift than other leaf packs, but I see that as a pro.

Neighbors and wives love angle grinders and impact guns all weekend.

That's how I got HH6 to approve renting a real shop...

Dang......you guys dont procrastinate. Both your posts and photos are motivating. I got my kit yesterday and painted them. I'm prepping and thinking about the stock mount removal...

Any hints, advice, suggestions, tips or tricks with the removal/installation? Or is it just go time with the angle grinder?

Haha yea wrenching on the truck is one of my fav thing to do! Yea use a sawzall to cut the bulk of the shock mount and lower shock mount off. Use a cutting wheel to cut smaller sections off of nice you’ve cut the larger ones off. Then use a 40 grit flap disc to smooth everything. It eats it fast.
