I didnt order. He acted like I shouldnt bother. He is the second guy from Wheelers to tell me to call back in a couple weeks and see.
I am on waiting lists for another couple vendors. With my luck, whoever I spend my money with will be the very last place to receive any. I have been trying to avoid that, but maybe there is no choice....

That's good. Still a pain either way. At least you don't have to deal with it.

There’s not much any vendor can do. I thought about placing another order with Shock Surplus but refrained from doing so so I could avoid any problems cancelling my order with Wheelers. Glad mine shipped today I’m so excited

There’s only one place where I off road and that’s the beach jumping dunes and shit. I don’t want to risk screwing up my shocks from harsh bottom outs. I rarely bottom out, but if I do, I don’t want to break my back with the stock bumpstops.

Hell to the no. I'll keep my 2nd gen American/Japanese made truck over a heavily Mexican/American made truck any day of the week.

My current truck was made in Mexico and still runs like a top. Member on here recently had his 2015 San Antonio truck blow a transmission. Only 74k miles lmao. Toyota quality prospers no matter where they're built and that is a complete fact.

To each there own. My 15 is not made in Mexico. I'm not knocking Toyota. But Denso parts are very excellent. I'd rather stick with what I have.

If it were a Chevy then I'd completely understand your point. The 2016 Tacoma production was split between San Antonio and Baja. Both had the same superb build quality and same shitty transmission. I firmly believe I've seen more American built Tacoma trucks going through mechanical issues than Mexican built Tacoma trucks.

Most companies are cutting corners these days. It's sad to say. If I was to buy something newer than mine with less miles I would definitely get a V8.

Although Toyota cuts a shit ton of corners, they’re still on top in terms of quality and reliability. I have no problem buying a 3rd Gen Tacoma since it’s miles ahead of the competition. Also, the Ford Ranger, Chevy Colorado, and Jeep Gladiator are all ugly and overpriced.
