Great! I'll look forwards to some pics of them mounted!

    - Any news on the 265 75s?

A few photos from our trip to Moab last week where we did a couple of easy trails. The truck performed flawlessly, but several squeaks and rattles showed up on the rocky trailsP2260047 (2).jpg P2250017 (2).jpg P2260029 (2).jpg .

LR Looks great with the RSI Smart cap, I’m gonna order one as soon as my taco comes in from the factory order. Did you seal the bed at all?

That's awesome! They certainly pass the eye ball test  I'm curious to hear how you end up liking them because I may pick up a set as well...

Yeah, they look fantastic. Almost like a hybrid MT/AT. Honestly, more chunky looking than any tire I've ever run, ever. It's crazy to be able to get such a burly, good looking tire that weights only 38lb.

Exactly! How much have you driven so far? Do you feel like they've robbed any power at all? Any rubbing?

Drove about 30 miles. And did not notice any robbing of any power - least not as far as I could tell. They are only 1lb heavier than OEM, so their is probably some difference, but nothing I could tell getting onto the freeway or merging with traffic. And yes, I was paying close attention to that aspect as that was a key factor for me. I've always grown to regret E rated tires because of how sluggish the truck feels with them mounted.

    Also, no rubbing. :)

At dealer.jpg Manual is best.jpg mudflaps and running boards.jpg I gave my dealer a $500 deposit back in September and just picked up my ordered Pro LR manual this week. I actually came from an 18 Raptor but while it was faster, utility wise it's no better than the Taco since it only has a 1090 payload. Most importantly, I miss having a manual since we are a manual only household.

I got my dealer to price match a much lower price on the running board and installed it with my kids help.

Next up is deleting the accumulator and have PPF on the entire front.

As for speed, it's obviously no speed demon, but the Taco feels quicker seat of the pants than Rubicon unlimited manual, FWIW.

Speaking of accumulator, Toyota's implementation is not terrible, first gear is a little numb but is perfectly driveable. My 16 Challenger Hellcat 6 speed was impossible until we take the flow restrictor off. I would say the Taco delay is more like my 15 STI.

Lastly, I was very happy with the K02 on my old Raptor, and so far I am not that impressed by the stock tires, so I might bag them and have K02's put on. We'll see.

    Its base coat and clear.

I ran my paint meter over it yesterday and the paint is shockingly thin, lots of areas in the mid 3 mils. The most I measured was 4.1 mil.

I have PPF appointment on Tuesday, this truck definitely needs it.

Kind of wish I waited on these instead of the K02 265/75/R16 which weigh a ton. I can defiantly feel the power lose form the factory tires

I can't decide if the best part of this photo is the MT or those boots!

I drove around all day yesterday and I'm increasingly impressed with these. I suspect the recommended 30psi may be a smidgen low. I'll probably end up doing a chalk test sometime soon.

I'm getting ready to head out to do some Mountain Biking, which will put me off road for about five miles or so. I will report back further. I'm putting regular updates in the Maxxis tire thread. https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/maxxis-razr-at-in-e-and-sl.687907/

But yeah, that was a big reason why I was willing to give these a shot. They are the lightest/chunkiest tire I could find. 38 lbs, vs 55lbs for the BFG.

    Thanks.

I live in the Houston area. To my knowledge there were only two LR manuals on this delivery batch from Gulf state distribution.

Did they put the bed stickers on or is that something you added?

Mine is made south of the border and according to others here, it's been happening at the factory down there.

I will probably take it off.

Oh wow, didn't realize they had already moved manual production to Mexico. Thought that was not to happen until end of the year. Off road bed sticker seems a bit of a contradiction to the pro badge on the door. Mine purchased in October was still built in San Antonio.
